Kelsea Ballerini and Madelyn Cline can’t help but laugh at rumors of bad blood between them.
Shortly after performing at the 2026 Grammy Awards in Los Angeles, the singer known for “I Sit In Parks” spent time with her boyfriend’s ex, and the two appeared to enjoy a relaxed and drama-free outing.
Madelyn and Kelsea showed everyone they’re friends again with a fun selfie posted on Madelyn’s Instagram Stories on February 2nd. In the picture, both women were laughing and playfully covering their faces, and they even had the same hairstyle – matching top knots! Madelyn also tagged Kelsea in the post.
Madelyn and Chase, both 33, were a couple from 2020 to 2021, but they still act as romantic partners on the show Outer Banks and have always spoken well of each other. Chase and Kelsea, meanwhile, broke up in September after dating for two years, but she later revealed they were back together on New Year’s Eve.
Kelsea reflected on a difficult year in her personal life, sharing on Instagram that it was a chaotic time for her heart and relationships. She added that, going forward, she prefers to keep details of her personal life private. However, she emphasized her continued belief in love, in her partner, and in the importance of changing old habits.

As Kelsea Ballerini’s new EP, Mount Pleasant, was released, fans on social media started speculating that her song “Emerald City” was inspired by Madelyn. Though Chase quickly criticized the online rumors, Kelsea also explained her own perspective and how she creates her music.
She told her Nashville audience, according to People magazine, that she writes songs people can connect with, rather than just to spark debate online.

Right now, the artist behind “Peter Pan” says she’s prioritizing enjoying life and less focused on writing songs.
She recently told Zuri Hall on the red carpet at the Grammys that, after years of sharing everything, she’s starting to keep more to herself. At 32, she feels like she’s finally letting her life simply be her life, without feeling the need to overshare.
