Cori Broadus Says Her Daughter’s Death Feels Like a “Bad Dream”

Cori Broadus is detailing her grief.

Oh my gosh, I’m absolutely heartbroken! Just days ago, Snoop Dogg’s amazing daughter, Corie, revealed that her sweet little Codi Dreaux, her 10-month-old baby with Wayne Deuce, has passed away. And now, Corie’s finally sharing how she’s coping with this absolutely devastating loss. I’m sending all my love and strength to her and Wayne right now, it’s just… awful.

On February 1st, Cori posted a video on Instagram of her cradling and kissing her daughter, who was born three months early last February. She captioned the video with a heartbreaking message: “Waiting for someone to tell me this is all just a bad dream.”

She posted another photo of herself with her daughter in bed, with a caption that read, “You were supposed to outlive me…not the other way around, Codi.”

I was absolutely heartbroken to learn that Cori’s precious little girl passed away on January 26th. It’s just… devastating. She’d only been home from the hospital for 20 days! That sweet baby spent the first few months of her life fighting so hard in the NICU, and then… this. It’s just unimaginable.

On Monday, Cori shared the heartbreaking news that her partner, Codi, had passed away. She posted the message on her Instagram Story alongside a picture of their daughter on January 31st.

Wayne, who proposed to Cori in 2023, shared his grief over his daughter’s passing on Instagram as well.

My heart absolutely broke when I lost Codi Dreaux. I shared a message on social media – it felt like the only way to express how deeply I was hurting. Even through the sadness, knowing she was finally at peace brought a small comfort. A father’s love never fades, and I’ll carry her in my heart forever.

Snoop Dogg is mourning the loss of his granddaughter. He shared a touching photo on Instagram from January 31st, showing himself with his sons, Corde, 31, and Cordell, 28, standing around a picture of Cori. He accompanied the post with a red heart and praying hands emoji. Snoop shares Corde and Cordell with his wife, Shante Broadus, and has another son, Julian, 27, from a previous relationship.

Cordell posted a family photo on his Instagram Story that same day, writing, “Lil sis, we got you forever.”

Cori was thrilled to bring her daughter home after a long stay in the newborn intensive care unit following her birth.

I was so relieved to finally be home with my little one! I shared a few sweet moments with her on Instagram, and honestly, I was just overwhelmed with gratitude. The support I received – all the prayers, messages, and love – it truly meant the world and I really felt like it was answered prayers.
