The newest chapter of the Jujutsu Kaisen sequel finally shows Yuji in action, giving fans a taste of just how powerful he’s become and hinting that his potential is unmatched. Throughout the original manga, Yuji Itadori grew incredibly strong, ultimately defeating Sukuna in the finale. The story consistently suggested he was destined to be Sukuna’s equal, and even surpass him, as a young man, making it clear he would only continue to get more powerful over time.
The new sequel takes place almost 70 years after the original, leading many fans to anticipate seeing the main character as an elderly man. Instead, the reveal that Yuji doesn’t age was a surprising twist. This suggests that, with a body that never ages and decades of training, he’s become incredibly powerful. Yuji reappeared in Chapter 19 of the sequel, but he’s changed his moral outlook in unexpected ways. The most recent chapter showcases just how strong he’s become over the past century, and it’s honestly more impressive than even Gojo or Sukuna’s power.
Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo’s Latest Chapter Offers a Glimpse at Yuji’s Unparalleled Strength

Chapter 20 of Jujutsu Kaisen: Modulo, titled “Old Soldiers Never Die,” starts with a quick, humorous moment confirming the popular character Aoi Todo is still alive. The chapter then focuses on Yuji and demonstrates just how incredibly powerful he’s become. The previous chapter showed Yuji using his Piercing Blood technique to immobilize many sorcerers and Simurians, but this chapter takes things to a new level. When a Simurian attacks, Yuji casually blocks it with his hand without even being touched. Previously, only Gojo Satoru could defend against physical attacks without making contact, a feat made possible by his Limitless technique and Six Eyes. The fact that Yuji can now do this without the Six Eyes clearly shows he’s reached an entirely different level of power.
Yuji effortlessly performs his powerful Black Flash technique, proving he’s fully mastered it. Mino is amazed by Yuji’s precise control over cursed energy – it’s so refined, it’s almost undetectable. This level of control is comparable to, or even better than, Gojo’s, especially considering Yuji’s longer lifespan. The attacking Simurian notices Yuji feels like a Kalyan, a type of cursed spirit, implying he’s a unique being. His unchanging age and existence as a Cursed Painting further suggest he’s been fundamentally altered, unlike any sorcerer seen before.
This chapter really highlights how incredibly strong Yuji is. It shows that even a single hit from him can knock sorcerers out of commission for days. When he uses his Dismantle attack, it’s devastating – capable of defeating hundreds of cursed spirits and causing widespread destruction. Yuji even casually suggests he could handle a fight with Dabura, a character considered Sukuna’s equal, which implies he’d win easily. What’s most surprising is that Yuji doesn’t even seem to be trying his hardest. His power is unlike anything we’ve seen from any sorcerer before, and it’s likely the Jujutsu Kaisen sequel will end with him as an unbeatable legend, establishing him as one of the most powerful characters in anime and manga history.
