The drama series Sullivan’s Crossing is gaining popularity on streaming platforms as it prepares for its fourth season in 2026. Based on Robyn Carr’s novels, the Canadian show originally aired for three seasons on The CW and is now available to watch on Netflix.
As of February 3, 2026, Sullivan’s Crossing is the third most popular show on Netflix worldwide. It’s currently behind Bridgerton and His & Hers, which recently released new seasons. Sullivan’s Crossing follows Maggie Sullivan, a neurosurgeon from Boston, as she moves to Nova Scotia hoping to reconnect with her father. She’s also dealing with a legal issue. The show stars Morgan Kohan, Chad Michael Murray, Tom Jackson, Andrea Menard, and Scott Patterson.
Robyn Carr, along with Hilary Martin, Michael DiMondo, Christopher E. Perry, and showrunner Roma Roth, is an executive producer on the TV show. She’s also the author of five Sullivan’s Crossing novels, published between 2016 and 2020.
Besides Sullivan’s Crossing, Netflix also streams the TV series Virgin River, which is based on Robyn Carr’s popular books. The Virgin River series includes over 20 novels written between 2007 and 2020, and the TV adaptation premiered on Netflix in 2019.
The popular series Virgin River currently has six seasons available, with season 7 premiering on March 12th. Netflix has already renewed the show for an eighth season. Author Robyn Carr, who also writes the Grace Valley, Thunder Point, and Omnibus series, is an executive producer on Virgin River.
Both Sullivan’s Crossing and Virgin River are heartwarming romance stories centered around family issues and characters looking for a new beginning.
Season 4 of Sullivan’s Crossing is coming to The CW in 2026, with episodes becoming available on Netflix afterward. The new season will pick up where the last one left off, answering questions and resolving the dramatic events of the season 3 finale—especially the surprise return of Maggie’s husband.
