Crimson Desert looks amazing, but is there a downside to such a large and impressive open world? Regardless, many people are clearly excited about it – Pearl Abyss has announced over two million players have already added it to their wishlists. It’s worth remembering the game isn’t out for another six weeks, and will be available on Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC.
Interest in the game likely began when the release date was revealed at last year’s Tokyo Game Show, but the first in a three-part video series definitely helped build excitement. That’s where we got a deeper look at the story, learning about the main character Kliff, his quest to bring the Greymanes back together, the mysterious Abyss, and those who want to control its power. Pearl Abyss also announced two additional playable characters who will explore the world of Pywel.
While the main story seems charming, it’s actually just a small part of the overall game. Marketing expert Will Powers recently shared that the game really opens up after the credits, with entire storylines and factions left unexplored. Plus, the world of Pywel is even larger than that of Red Dead Redemption 2.
Pearl Abyss might add even more content and features to Crimson Desert after it launches, depending on player interest. The game is scheduled to release on March 19th for Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and PC, and we’re excited to see what the developers do with it.
#CrimsonDesert has reached over 2 million wishlists!
Thank you for the incredible support. Your excitement means a lot to us, and we can’t wait to see you in Pywel on March 19.
