Jujutsu Kaisen Sequel Heads Towards Its Finale As Yuji Unveils His True Goal

Please be aware that this article contains spoilers for the Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo manga. The sequel manga is quickly approaching its conclusion as the intense battle between Dabura and Mahoraga unfolds. Though the fight appears to be between Yuka Okkotsu and Dabura Karaba, Yuka possesses the incredibly powerful Ten Shadows Style. She immediately summoned Mahoraga at the start of the fight, forcing Dabura into an exorcism ritual. Yuka cleverly concealed herself within her shadow after summoning the legendary Shikigami, pushing Dabura to utilize all of his power. Meanwhile, as Yuka fights Dabura, her brother, Tsurugi, is battling Cross in an attempt to save her.

During a fierce battle, Yuji Itadori unexpectedly appears and clashes with both armies. It’s been established that Yuji is not only still alive, but also doesn’t age. Before the fight started, the Jujutsu world frantically searched for him, hoping he would help. Unable to find him, they reluctantly sent Yuka to fight, fully aware she wouldn’t survive. While Yuji reappears in Chapter 19, Chapter 20 reveals his motivations, and they are deeply unsettling.

Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo Unveils Yuji Doesn’t Plan on Interfering in The Battle

Yuji immediately took out several enemies – both Simurians and sorcerers – signaling he wasn’t interested in joining either side of the conflict. He’d actually tried to avoid being noticed, but a sorcerer found him. Yuji explained he’d only deal with cursed spirits escaping from Tokyo and wouldn’t help the Okkotsu siblings with their fights. However, he would clean up any problems if the siblings were defeated. Years of isolation, watching friends age and die while he remained unchanged, have deeply affected him, and it’s clear he’s a different person now.

He’s trying to fulfill his teacher’s wishes, but he’s overlooked what his teacher truly wanted: a future where others were stronger. Gojo hoped to reform the world of Jujutsu, envisioning a future where Yuji could continue his work without him. Sadly, that future never came to pass. Sorcerers continued to decline, and the dangerous practice of sending children into deadly battles persisted – something Gojo deeply hated. Mirroring Gojo’s sentiment, Yuji declared his own well-being unimportant and single-handedly fought the cursed spirits, rising above everyone else.
