Battlefield 6 Contributed Heavily to 38 Percent Increased Quarterly Earnings for EA

Even though Battlefield 6 had a rocky start with bugs and balancing problems, it’s been a financial win for Electronic Arts. Recent reports show a significant 38% increase in sales for the quarter ending December 31st, 2025, totaling $3 billion in sales and $1.9 billion in revenue.

Battlefield 6 was the biggest driver of net bookings, but Apex Legends and EA Sports FC also performed well. EA Sports FC saw high single-digit growth in the third quarter (excluding sales from special editions), thanks to strong performance in Ultimate Team and FC Mobile. Apex Legends, the popular battle royale game, experienced double-digit growth due to new features and events.

Battlefield 6 was definitely the biggest hit of the year. It wasn’t just the best-selling shooting game – selling over seven million copies in just three days proves that – but it also brought more players to the Battlefield series than ever before.

Electronic Arts will skip its usual quarterly earnings call after being acquired by Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund, along with Affinity Partners and Silver Lake. While the company’s board approved the $55 billion deal, expected to finalize between April and June, some US Congress members have asked the Federal Trade Commission to investigate, potentially causing delays. We’ll keep you updated as things develop.
