Dave Coulier is celebrating the end of a strenuous health battle.
The former Full House star announced he’s now cancer-free, having successfully overcome both Non-Hodgkin lymphoma and tongue cancer after fighting them one after the other.
Dave described his battle with cancer as a challenging experience. In a February 4th interview on Good Morning America, he shared that he is now in remission from both cancers and called it an incredible journey.
Honestly, after watching him fight cancer twice in just two years, it’s amazing he’s even talking about anything! But he says he wants to share what he went through, and I get it. He really believes he can help others by letting them know they’re not alone, and honestly, that just makes me love him even more. It’s just… incredible.
Honestly, I never asked to become a symbol for cancer,” he explained. “But if my experience can inspire others to get checked for things like prostate cancer and breast cancer, and to simply have open conversations with their doctors about their health, then that’s a good thing.”
Okay, so Dave always talks about how amazing his wife, Melissa Bring, is – they’ve been married since 2014, and he says she’s been his rock through everything. And his son, Luc, with Jayne Modean, is all grown up now – 33 years old! – and a total support system too. Honestly, it’s so sweet. But you know what really gets me? How much he loves his Full House family! John Stamos, especially, always knows how to make him laugh, and he talks about them constantly. It’s just… everything about them is perfect!
Even though the comedian has overcome his most recent health challenge, he shared that he still feels like cancer is always lurking in the back of his mind. He described it as if the disease is playfully challenging him, asking if he’s trying to move on.
And so, for himself and for everyone, Dave reasoned, “Early detection really means everything.”
Just before the end of the year, Dave revealed he was being treated for tongue cancer. He explained it was caused by HPV turning into carcinoma. This came less than a year after he first announced his diagnosis of Non-Hodgkin lymphoma in November 2024.
It was a huge surprise,” he told Today at the time. “After going through chemotherapy and finally feeling like the cancer was gone, getting a test result that showed a different type of cancer was devastating.

But through what he called a “really tough” few years, Dave tried to keep things in perspective.
He often jokes that he’s doing surprisingly well considering he has cancer. He explained that having cancer actually helped doctors find his second cancer, which seems strange to say, but it’s accurate.

“The internet really came for me after doing a bunch of press, and I was like, ‘OK everybody, relax,'” Amy recalled of her “puffier” face on a January 2025 episode of Call Her Daddy. “But then doctors were chiming in in the comments and they were like, ‘No no, we think something’s really up. Your face looks so crazy that we think something’s up. And I’m like, ‘Wait, I’m getting trolled by doctors?’”
After these doctors said they thought she had Cushing syndrome and that it may be caused by spiking coritsol levels or steroid injections, the Life & Beth creator thought, “Wait, I have been getting steroid injections in my scars.”
“I had a breast reduction, a C-section, whatever, and so I was getting these steroid injections,” Amy said. “So it gave me this thing called Cushing syndrome, which I wouldn’t have known if the internet hadn’t come for me so hard.”
Toda, Amy is just relieved she’s OK. As she shared in a February 2024 News Not Noise newsletter, “Finding out I have the kind of Cushing that will just work itself out and I’m healthy was the greatest news imaginable.”

In March 2022, Hailey Bieber experienced a frightening health scare while having breakfast with her husband, Justin. She suddenly started having stroke-like symptoms, unable to speak and experiencing drooping on the right side of her face. Although these symptoms eventually passed, she went to the hospital for evaluation. Doctors discovered she’d had a small blood clot travel to her brain, which they identified as a TIA, or transient ischemic attack. Further testing at UCLA revealed Hailey had a hole in her heart, called a patent foramen ovale (PFO). This hole allowed the blood clot to reach her brain, causing the TIA. Hailey successfully underwent a procedure to close the PFO and is now doing well.

The same year Hailey faced a health issue, Justin also experienced one. In June 2022, he revealed he had been diagnosed with Ramsay Hunt syndrome, a condition that caused temporary paralysis on one side of his face. This forced him to cancel the rest of his Justice World Tour.
In a video posted to Instagram, Justin explained the virus affected the nerves in his ear and face, preventing him from blinking, smiling, or moving his nostril on the affected side. He also shared that it had become increasingly difficult for him to eat.
Fortunately, the paralysis eventually went away. Hailey shared on Good Morning America that Justin was recovering well and feeling much better, adding that while the situation was frightening and unexpected, he was going to be okay and she was grateful he was fine.

He explained that while in Atlanta, he suffered a severe headache and asked for aspirin. Before he could take it, he lost consciousness and doesn’t remember the next twenty days.
Initially, a doctor gave him a cortisone shot and sent him home, but his sister, Deidra Dixon, was worried and took him to the hospital. There, they discovered he had a brain bleed that led to a stroke.
After surgery, Jamie woke up in a wheelchair on May 4th, unable to walk. He then went to Chicago for rehabilitation and therapy. He expressed deep gratitude for the prayers he received, saying he needed every single one.

A hospital scan revealed she had suffered a subarachnoid hemorrhage – a life-threatening stroke caused by a ruptured aneurysm. She immediately underwent surgery to repair it, describing the pain as unbearable. During her recovery, she experienced aphasia, leaving her unable to speak coherently.
After a week, her speech returned, and she was discharged from the hospital a month later. However, a 2013 scan revealed the aneurysm had grown, requiring a second surgery. This procedure initially failed, leading to a major bleed and a precarious situation. Doctors had to perform a more invasive surgery, accessing her brain directly through her skull.
Fortunately, Emilia is now fully recovered and says she is “at a hundred per cent.”

In a September 2024 podcast interview, she revealed she experienced hearing loss, debilitating fatigue, and severe stomach pain, leading to a confusing array of diagnoses. Determined to find answers, Woodley, who prefers to keep her specific condition private, combined traditional medical treatment with holistic and herbal approaches. This search for well-being lasted for a decade. She explained that the physical discomfort led to anxiety around food and ultimately to struggles with body image and self-identity. Thankfully, after years of addressing both her physical and mental health, Shailene is now feeling much better and considers herself very healthy. She expressed relief and happiness to be in a good place.
