One of Sabrina Carpenter’s backup performers dropped something other than an album.
The global superstar started the 2026 Grammys by performing her song “Manchild,” and she revealed that the live dove she used as part of the act actually pooped on her hand during the performance.
Dressed as a pilot, Sabrina performed a dance routine near a pretend baggage claim area. She was joined by backup dancers costumed as different types of modern men, such as mail carriers and business professionals. During the performance, she pulled a live bird from a magician’s hat, and it flew off into the audience.
As the song finished, Sabrina was once again holding a dove while seated on an airplane prop on stage.
After her performance at the Grammys, the 26-year-old singer celebrated with her team backstage, excitedly exclaiming that she had accidentally dropped something on her hand.
Sabrina delivered a polished performance at the Grammys, marking her second time on the stage. The 26-year-old, who won her first two Grammys with her album Short n’ Sweet last February, captivated the audience with a mix of her songs “Espresso” and “Please Please Please.” The performance included playful, planned mishaps like a costume glitch and deliberately falling set pieces.
After the performance, host Trevor Noah jokingly complained, “That was hilarious, but I’m not sure I liked it!” He then teased Sabrina, asking if she was planning to steal his job by being funny too.
Although the comedian, hosting the Grammys for the sixth and final time this year, joked about Sabrina wearing many different hats, she has consistently stated that humor is very important to her.

I’ve always believed a big part of navigating life is finding the humor in even awkward or uncomfortable situations. For me, wit has been a lifelong shield, a way to protect myself and look ahead. It’s been my go-to strategy for making sure I feel safe and prepared for whatever comes next, and honestly, it’s gotten me through a lot!
Sabrina prioritizes being around family, her work team, and creative partners who understand and accept her unique way of thinking. She believes this support is essential for staying true to herself in a world that often pressures people to conform.

She explained to Vogue Italy in October that finding humor in awkward situations is a big part of how she copes with life. She’s always relied on her wit as a way to protect herself and prepare for what’s next.

As a lifestyle observer, I was completely captivated by Bad Bunny’s reaction when he won Album of the Year for DeBí TiRAR MáS FOToS. When his name was announced, he didn’t immediately jump up or celebrate. Instead, he just sat there, hand covering his face, seemingly overwhelmed with emotion for a full 24 seconds. It was a really powerful, human moment – a beautiful display of how deeply he felt the win.

Miley Cyrus and Jelly Roll, winners of the Best Country Duo/Group Performance Grammy for their song “Amen” with Shaboozey, enjoyed the celebratory atmosphere at the 2026 Grammys.

Rosé chilled out with Bruno Mars after they opened the show performing their smash-hit single “APT.”

Nikki Glaser is a multi-talented performer – she hosted the Golden Globes and was even a Grammy nominee last year. While she didn’t receive a nomination this year, she was recognized for her work previously.

Tate McRae will always remember her and Lady Gaga this way.

Jelly Roll got an “Amen” from wife Bunnie XO when he won Best Country Duo/Group Performance.

After winning Best Dance/Electronic Album, FKA Twigs toasted her success with a PATRÓN Tequila cocktail backstage.

Jelly Roll, Shaboozey, Kelsea Ballerini, Reba McEntire, ZZ Top, and Lainey Wilson all came together for a memorable group picture.

Jamie Foxx took the liberty of capturing the moment for Teddy Swims and Babyface.

Teddy Swims signed autographs for fans outside the Crypto.com Arena, using his Sharpie S-Gel Copper pen.

Although Haim’s album I Quit didn’t win Best Rock Album – Turnstile’s Never Enough took home the prize – Alana, Danielle, and Este Haim are perfectly happy with their decision to wear coordinating outfits.

Producer Jack Antonoff, who was nominated for Album of the Year for his work on Sabrina Carpenter’s Man’s Best Friend, might one day wish he’d chosen a different outfit than jeans and a T-shirt. Luckily, his wife, Margaret Qualley, was there to remind him to dress appropriately.

Charli XCX glanced to her left while walking backstage, preparing to present the award for Best Pop Solo Performance.

Sharon, Jack, and Kelly Osbourne were special guests at the Grammys, where they honored Ozzy Osbourne, who passed away in July 2025.

At the pre-show portion of the Grammys, known as the Premiere Ceremony, Steven Spielberg officially became an EGOT winner – one of only 22 people to achieve that status (or 28, if you include honorary awards). He earned the Grammy for Best Music Film as a producer on the documentary Music by John Williams, adding to his already remarkable collection of awards.
