After bringing laughs to viewers since its debut in 2024, it’s time to say goodbye to Boarders.
Get ready for the last term at St. Gilberts! We’re excited to share who will be joining the cast as guest stars, and we have a sneak peek at some first-look photos.
I’m really excited that most of the original cast – Aruna Jalloh as Femi, Jodie Campbell as Leah, Josh Tedeku as Jaheim, Myles Kamwendo as Omar, and Sekou Diaby as Toby – are all coming back for another season! Plus, it sounds like we’re going to see a bunch of new characters join the mix, which is always a good thing.
The cast also includes Rufus Jones (known from Rivals) as George Tramley, the father of Cheddar’s MP; Patrick Baladi (from Breeders) as Carol’s ex-partner, Alfie Watlington-Geese; and Fatiha El-Ghorri, a comedian and star of Taskmaster, who will play Mrs El-Fassi, a tough and competitive headmistress.

Okay, so I’m really excited about the new additions to the cast! We’ve got Kenyah Sandy – I loved her work in ‘Small Axe’ – playing Benjamin, who’s going to be Leah’s new love interest. Daisy Jacob, who I remember from ‘Tell Me Everything’, is joining as Pixie, and apparently, she’s going to turn Femi’s head pretty quickly. Louis Thresher – you might know him from ‘Coven Academy’ – will be playing Jonny, a friend of Omar’s who definitely wants something more than friendship. And finally, Nagaieh Dad is coming on board as Yusef, who sounds like a total wildcard and is going to pull Abby into some drama. It’s shaping up to be a great season!
The show’s third and final season, launching next month, is expected to be a powerful, humorous, and moving end to the story of Boarders, delivering a memorable conclusion.
Many viewers are curious about what will happen with Jaheim, who received an offer to spend a full year studying in America starting next semester. It’s currently unknown if he’ll accept, so we’ll find out later.
This funny and heartwarming show keeps viewers hooked by telling the story of five Black teenagers from the city who win scholarships to an elite boarding school. Over the past two seasons, we’ve watched them navigate challenges like scandals, romance, and competition, all while dealing with pressures from their families and communities back home.
With the school year ending, the students are really feeling the pressure. Season 3 focuses on looming exams, high stakes futures, and a lot of drama. A fierce rivalry sparks conflict, complicated romances, and broken friendships. The question is, can the scholarship students overcome these challenges and succeed?

The returning cast features Niky Wardley as Carol, Assa Kanouté as Abby, Tallulah Greive as Beatrix, Rosie Graham as Florence, Georgina Sadler as Mabel, Zheng Xi Yong as Xiang, Archie Fisher as Cheddar, Andrew Harmon-Gray as Graham, Ruxandra Porojnicu as Yelena, Maxim Ays as Felix, Kendra Brown as Devonyé, Al Foran as Stanley, William Andrews as Mackers, and Yuriri Naka as Ms Kaneko.
Daniel Lawrence Taylor, the writer, creator, and executive producer of Boarders, is excited for viewers to experience the show’s third and final season. He promises it will have all the humor and heart that fans have come to expect, and expressed his gratitude for the show’s positive reception, calling it a passion project. He’s looking forward to this final chapter.
Madeleine Sinclair, Creative Director for scripted at Studio Lambert, shared that the team is incredibly fortunate to have such a talented cast for ‘Boarders,’ including both returning favorites and exciting new additions. She described the third and final term at St. Gilbert’s as a thrilling and chaotic ride, thanks to Daniel’s writing, and promised a spectacular conclusion to the show that honors both the series and its dedicated fans.

As a huge movie buff, I keep running into this annoying issue – sometimes I can’t see certain content because of a Google reCAPTCHA thing. Apparently, the fix is to sign out of Contentpass first, and then it should load properly. It’s a bit of a hassle, but worth it to finally watch what I’m looking for!
The third and final season of Boarders will be available to stream on BBC iPlayer and will also air on BBC One and BBC Three next month.
