While exploring the world of Pywel and searching for the Greymanes is enjoyable in Crimson Desert, the game also features deep and engaging combat. Pearl Abyss recently detailed the various combat options available, highlighting the skills of Kliff and the other newly introduced companions, who are all powerful fighters.
So far in the game, Kliff has proven to be a versatile fighter, using swords, shields, spears, and even dual blades. You can also use a grappling hook to pull enemies off their mounts and then ride those mounts to fight. The other characters are also skilled, wielding weapons like axes, greatswords, and rapiers, and using strong abilities, including a fast-paced, aerial attack similar to the one in Ninja Gaiden.
Beyond bows and spells, you can also equip muskets for ranged combat. If you like getting up close, you can fight with your fists or grapple enemies just as easily. Plus, almost anything can be combined with elemental powers – you could even use Wind magic to launch yourself into the air and deliver a powerful kick!
Crimson Desert will be released on March 19th for Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and PC. Excitement for the game is growing, especially after Pearl Abyss revealed it has already been wishlisted over two million times.
