Everyone is holding Savannah Guthrie and her family in their thoughts.
With each passing day since Nancy Guthrie was reported missing – believed to be a kidnapping – people have shown tremendous support for the Today anchor. This support has grown, particularly after Nancy, her sister Annie, and brother Camron released a video message for the public and those who may be holding her.
Khloe Kardashian commented, “I’m praying so hard! I’m so incredibly sorry for everything you’re all going through. This is just unimaginable. Please bring her home! I have faith.”
Jennifer Garner expressed her support for Nancy and her family, writing, “May God hold Nancy and her family in the palm of His hands.” Monica Lewinsky also shared her concern, saying, “Oh, sweet Savannah. We’re all praying for her, you, and your family, sending love to Nancy, and hoping whoever has her will realize what they’ve done and bring her home.”
After Savannah asked for prayers, several celebrities shared that they were sending them, including Lindsey Vonn, Jenna Dewan, Mindy Kaling, and Ellie Kemper.
In a video message, Savannah highlighted her mother’s poor health and emphasized the need for the 84-year-old to continue receiving her medication.
In a recent Instagram post, the broadcaster shared that their mother is the center of their world. They explained that she’s very frail and lives with constant pain, and unfortunately, she doesn’t have access to the medication she desperately needs to both survive and feel better.

Annie, Savannah’s sister, explained how important their mother was to the family.
Our mother, Nancy, is a source of light and hope for us,” Annie explained. “Even after facing significant hardship and loss, she consistently chooses to find joy in everything life brings.
She reminded everyone that we’re all just human and still need our mothers. “Mom, if you can hear me, please come home. We miss you so much,” she said.
The group also spoke about the people who may have kidnapped Nancy, stating they know about the ransom notes that the police are looking into and that have been reported by the news.

We’ve seen the reports about the ransom letter,” Savannah stated. “Our family is doing everything possible to resolve this. We’re willing to negotiate, but in today’s world, things can be easily faked. We need absolute proof that she’s still alive and that you are actually holding her.
Local police, meanwhile, continue to investigate Nancy’s disappearance.
As a lifestyle expert focused on community safety, I want to share the latest update on the Guthrie case. Sheriff Nanos recently stated that the investigation is still ongoing and, as of now, they haven’t identified any suspects. Detectives are diligently working to interview anyone who may have known or interacted with Mrs. Guthrie to gather more information and hopefully bring some clarity to this situation.
For more on the events that have occurred since Nancy was likely taken from her home, read on.

Police say 84-year-old Joan Guthrie, mother to Annie, Camron, and Savannah Guthrie, was last seen at her home in Tucson, Arizona, around 9:30 p.m. on January 31st.

Police confirmed to Today that Nancy, 84, was reported missing by her family on February 1st. A friend noticed she hadn’t been at church that morning and let her family know, prompting a search of her property. When the search didn’t turn up Nancy after about an hour, her children contacted the authorities around noon.
Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos later explained the first steps of the investigation, which involved detectives specializing in homicides, at the victim’s home.
It’s unusual for the sheriff to be called to a situation like this, but what we’ve discovered inside the house is deeply troubling,” he explained to reporters on February 2nd. “This case was particularly striking due to the details we received at the scene and what we actually found during our initial inspection.”
This isn’t how things usually work,” Nanos explained. “Normally, our homicide team only investigates when someone dies, when we have a body to examine. In this case, we sent them out based solely on the information the surveyors provided.”

After looking into the situation, officials stated they think a crime happened at Nancy’s house.
During a press conference on February 2nd, Nanos stated that investigators now confirm they are dealing with a crime scene. He appealed to the public for assistance, noting the community has consistently helped solve difficult cases in the past and he hopes they will do so again.
The sheriff pointed out that Nancy had difficulty walking—she couldn’t walk even a short distance on her own—which led him to suspect something wasn’t right about her disappearance.
He stated definitively, “We know she didn’t simply leave on her own.” He further explained that evidence at the location suggests she didn’t leave voluntarily.

The search for Nancy is still ongoing, and officials are concerned because she requires daily medication to stay healthy, and she likely doesn’t have it with her.
During a press conference on February 2nd, Nanos explained that an 84-year-old woman under his care is facing serious health issues and requires medication urgently. Without it within 24 hours, her condition could become life-threatening.
We’re asking anyone with information about this – if you’ve seen or heard anything – to please get in touch with us. Call 911. We want to avoid another tragedy and really need the public’s help.
Although Nancy has faced some health challenges, Dr. Nanos highlighted that her thinking and memory skills remain excellent.
According to Dr. Nanos, Nancy Guthrie is mentally alert and this isn’t a case of dementia. She’s very sharp and the family wants to emphasize she didn’t simply wander away. Her limited mobility is simply due to her age.
With the search for Nancy still ongoing, Nanos expressed his hope that she will be found safe.
“I hope we find her safe and sound,” he emphasized, “but we cannot ignore what’s in front of us.”

The day after Nancy was reported missing, the anchor of the Today show publicly shared how difficult this time is for her family.
Speaking for my family, I want to express our gratitude for all the kind thoughts, prayers, and messages we’ve received,” she shared on February 2nd during an appearance on NBC’s morning show. “Our top priority right now is bringing Nancy home safely.
She expressed gratitude to law enforcement for their efforts in the case and asked anyone with relevant information to reach out to the Pima County Sheriff’s Department.

Once Savannah Guthrie learned her mother, Nancy, had been reported missing, her colleagues on the Today show publicly expressed their support.
Jenna Bush Hager shared on the February 2nd episode of Today with Jenna & Sheinelle that she and Nancy are close friends, saying, “We love Nancy. I know her personally.”
She continued, saying they were keeping Savannah and her family in their thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
Meanwhile, Sheinelle Jones emphasized the importance of community during this difficult time.
She said the show’s request for viewers to help with the investigation felt like a perfect example of the community coming together. She encouraged anyone with information – even if it seemed insignificant – to contact the Pima County Sheriff’s department.
She added, “So we’re sending our prayers but we’re also sending our collective action.”
Before concluding the segment, both hosts continued, “We love you, Savannah.”

And Sunday Today anchor Willie Geist also urged fans to keep an eye out for Nancy.
On February 2nd, he posted on Instagram asking anyone with information about the whereabouts of Savannah Guthrie’s mother, Nancy, to contact the Pima County Sheriff’s Department in Arizona. He also included the department’s phone number, noting that she was missing.
Savannah’s former colleague, Hoda Kotb, responded to the surprising announcement by posting a heartwarming photo of Savannah and Nancy together on the Today show set. In a simple message on Instagram from February 2nd, Hoda included only a red heart and praying hands emoji.

Police have labeled Nancy’s home in Arizona a crime scene, but they don’t think the public needs to worry about their safety.
At a press conference on February 2nd, Pima County Sheriff Nanos stated he didn’t believe there was an immediate danger, but emphasized that the investigation was ongoing and much work remained.
Savannah hasn’t been on Today since February 1st, when her mother was reported missing. However, local authorities have been checking in with her to make sure she’s okay.
The sheriff confirmed they had spoken with her. Her security team has been communicating with them all night, but they aren’t ruling anything out at this point.

On Feb. 2, Pima County police shared a series of updates on the timeline of Nancy’s disappearance.
Investigators now believe the woman was likely taken from her home against her will, potentially while she was sleeping, according to a Pima County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson. Detectives are investigating the case as a possible kidnapping.

After news broke that Nancy might have been taken from her home in Arizona while she was sleeping, Savannah made a heartfelt plea.
In a recent Instagram post on February 2nd, she shared her faith, writing, “We believe in the power of prayer, in people coming together with love and hope, in the goodness of humanity, and above all, in God.”
Savannah continued, thanking everyone for praying for her mother, Nancy, whom she described as a woman of strong beliefs and a devoted person. She asked for continued prayers, believing they would provide comfort and strength to Nancy right now.
She added, “we need you.”
To conclude her plea, Savannah shared a Bible verse from Isaiah.
She shared a verse from Isaiah, writing, ‘He will keep those with steadfast hearts and unwavering trust in the Lord in perfect peace.’ She believed this message held timeless wisdom for everyone.
Savannah continued, “Bring her home.”

Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos stated that DNA evidence was discovered at Nancy’s home, which is now being treated as a crime scene.
We collected samples and are hoping they contain enough DNA to help us identify what we’re looking for, he told NBC News in a report on Today on February 3rd.
