With the final four episodes of Bridgerton season four arriving on February 26th, Julia Quinn, the author of the original novels, has cautioned fans that they might be disappointed with how things turn out.

The new series, To Sir Phillip, With Love, focuses on Eloise Bridgerton (played by Claudia Jessie) and Phillip Crane (Chris Fulton) following the death of Phillip’s wife, Marina Crane (Ruby Barker). However, Marina isn’t the only member of the Bridgerton family whose romantic journey began with sadness.

In season three of Bridgerton, Francesca Bridgerton (Hannah Dodd) experienced the loss of her husband, John Stirling (Victor Alli), after they married. Later in the season, she began a relationship with John’s cousin, Michael Stirling, played by Masali Baduza.

Hannah hinted that Francesca will face a difficult internal conflict as she deals with her marriage to John and her growing feelings for his cousin.

In an interview with TopMob News, she described Michaela as a disruptive force in Francesca’s life. She believes an event that occurred in Scotland revealed Michaela’s challenging and unsettling impact on Francesca.

Things got even more chaotic when John’s cousin unexpectedly showed up just as the Bridgerton children were visiting for dinner.

John and Francesca have become much closer through hard work and honest conversations. They’ve overcome some tough challenges and are now in a very happy and strong place in their relationship.
