All 5 Seasons of a Hit HBO Max Comedy Just Arrived on Netflix

Netflix and Warner Bros. are working more closely together. Shows originally from HBO and HBO Max, such as Love & Death and Sex and the City, have been appearing on Netflix, and now another series has been added. The dark comedy series about millennials dealing with murder, mystery, and life’s big questions—previously set to leave HBO Max in spring 2025 and disappear from streaming—is now available to watch on Netflix.

All five seasons of the show Search Party, totaling 50 episodes, became available on Netflix on February 5th. This is part of an ongoing agreement between Netflix and Warner Bros. Television, HBO, and HBO Max. The series originally aired on TBS in 2016 for two seasons before moving to HBO Max for its final three seasons, which concluded in 2022. Many fans were upset when Search Party was removed from HBO Max, so its arrival on Netflix is good news for subscribers who enjoy the show.

Search Party Is a Genre-Bending Mystery Show Worth Revisiting

Whether you’re a first-time viewer or a longtime fan, Search Party is a show that truly delivers. Over its five seasons, it transformed from a quirky mystery about millennials in Brooklyn into a thrilling, suspenseful ride, and eventually a bizarre, thought-provoking comedy. The show constantly surprises you with its changing style and captivating stories, all while maintaining a sharp, cynical perspective on its characters – who are self-absorbed, flawed, and often hypocritical. With its mix of dark themes, absurd humor, clever satire of millennial life, and a fantastic cast of relatable characters, Search Party is incredibly easy to binge-watch.

If you’re wondering whether this show is any good, check its Rotten Tomatoes score: critics consistently loved it, averaging 96% across all five seasons. Even its lowest-rated season still scored an impressive 93%, and two seasons – the first and the last – received perfect ratings. Critics describe the show as consistently funny and unpredictable, and they agree the final season delivers a satisfying conclusion.

What’s New on Netflix?

I’m still working my way through all five seasons of Search Party, which should keep me busy for a bit, but Netflix has been adding a ton of other stuff lately if I need a change of pace. This February alone, they’ve got the latest season of Heartland, all seasons of the Night Court reboot (which I’m thrilled about!), and What I Like About You is coming on the 11th. Sci-fi fans will be happy to hear Stargate SG-1 (all 10 seasons!) drops on the 15th. And for movies, I can already stream Crazy, Stupid, Love, the first two How to Train Your Dragon films, The Butler, and a classic like You’ve Got Mail – and there’s supposed to be even more coming soon, which is awesome!
