Chris Hemsworth, known for playing Thor, has invited a famous actor from the original X-Men movies to be in the upcoming Avengers: Secret Wars film. While details about Avengers: Doomsday are still secret, Hemsworth’s Thor is expected to appear in what will be the concluding film of the current Marvel Multiverse Saga. Before that, he’ll be seen in Doomsday alongside other well-known actors from the older X-Men movies made by Fox.
Halle Berry, known for playing Storm in the X-Men films, doesn’t appear to be involved in the upcoming movie Avengers: Doomsday. However, Chris Hemsworth (Thor) has hinted that she might be in Avengers: Secret Wars. He jokingly told her in an interview with CinemaBlend, “I’m going to make sure you are in the next one,” and added, “I’m inviting you!”
Chris Hemsworth imagines Thor would react to someone with similar weather-controlling abilities by saying something like, ‘Wow, we have a lot in common! You’re incredibly talented at controlling the weather, too!’
Halle Berry suggested the character wasn’t included because her abilities were redundant. She reasoned, ‘They already have Thor, so they didn’t need Storm.’
Chris Hemsworth assured the person he was speaking to that he would be included in the next project, saying everyone wanted them involved and that he personally extended the invitation.
This follows Halle Berry’s consistent statements that she won’t appear in the next Avengers: Doomsday movie. In an interview from April 2025, the famous X-Men star was asked if she might return to superhero films, and she clearly stated that fans will have to “keep waiting. Not gonna be there.”
In an interview with Screen Rant, she confirmed she won’t be participating in the current installment of Doomsday, but expressed strong interest in future opportunities, saying she’d jump at the chance to be involved later on.
While this doesn’t rule her out of Avengers: Secret Wars, it’s still uncertain if the iconic X-Men character will be a major player in the 2027 film, or just make a brief appearance in Doomsday.
The next big Marvel team-up movies, Avengers: Doomsday and Secret Wars, are planned for release on December 18, 2026, and December 17, 2027, respectively. These films will feature Thor, played by Chris Hemsworth, and other major Marvel heroes battling to save the entire Marvel Multiverse, teaming up with heroes from different realities along the way.
Will Halle Berry’s X-Men Return Come To Fruition?

It looks like Halle Berry probably won’t be returning as Storm in the Marvel Cinematic Universe anytime soon. She’s been very firm in saying she won’t be involved in projects like Avengers: Doomsday, which is unusual for actors discussing Marvel films.
It’s possible this is all a clever trick, as stars have misled fans before to keep secrets within a series – Andrew Garfield, for example. But this situation feels different. Halle Berry seems determined and isn’t wavering, which suggests something more is going on.
If the character doesn’t appear in Doomsday, fans hoping to see her return as the classic X-Men version may have to look to Avengers: Secret Wars. Characters from Doomsday, including potentially Storm played by Halle Berry, could reappear in the final film of the Multiverse Saga, expanding the multiverse even further.
Given that Secret Wars is named after a massive, reality-altering comic book storyline, Marvel Studios will likely go all-out with this project. If actress Halle Berry were to reprise her role, Secret Wars would be the most logical place for her return.
