It’s been four months since Digimon Story Time Stranger came out, and a setting to make the game run at a smooth 60 frames per second is coming soon. It’s a bit delayed, but it’s good news for players!
During today’s Nintendo Direct, Bandai Namco announced that Time Stranger is coming to Switch. Surprisingly, the Switch version will offer players a choice between two graphics modes: a ‘Quality’ mode at 30 frames per second and a smoother ‘Performance’ mode at 60 frames per second. This announcement left players on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S a bit confused, as those versions don’t have this option.
Just so you’re aware, the game Time Stranger released on modern consoles without any options to adjust the graphics, and it’s limited to 30 frames per second for reasons that aren’t clear.
The two graphics options will be added to the PlayStation 5 version of the game. While we don’t have a specific date yet, the Nintendo Switch 2 version is launching on July 10th. We’re aiming to release the update for PS5 players around the same time, if possible.
Were you worried Digimon Story Time Stranger would never run smoothly at 60 frames per second? Stay tuned to the comments for an update!
