Luke Combs Pulls Out of Super Bowl Show Amid Wife Nicole’s Pregnancy

Luke Combs is putting his family first.

The country singer announced he’s canceling his appearance at the Super Bowl pre-party in Santa Clara, California on February 8th, just a day before he was set to perform at the Madden Bowl in San Francisco.

He shared on Instagram on February 5th that he was disappointed to miss the Madden Bowl, but explained that spending time with family was his priority and wished everyone a good time.

Luke Combs, whose wife Nicole Hocking Combs is expecting their third child, didn’t offer many details about what’s happening at home. However, the event organizers at EA Sports explained that he had to be there to support his wife during her pregnancy.

Luke is staying home to prepare for a new baby, according to a statement from the video game company. They expressed their support for Luke and his family and are excited to host an amazing #MaddenBowl event featuring Zach Bryan, promising a great night of music and football for fans.

Zach Bryan will be the main performer at the concert, with supporting acts by Teddy Swims, Stephen Wilson Jr., Gavin Adcock, and LaRussell.

As for Luke, it seems he’ll be spending the evening with his kids, Tex Lawrence, 3, and Beau Lee, 2.

He and Nicole—who tied the knot in 2020—announced in September that they’re growing their family.

“Third time’s a charm!” they shared on Instagram at the time. “Baby #3 coming this winter.”
