Who Is Venus De Milo, and How Can She Help The Power Rangers and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles?
The preview shows Venus easily defeating the army Zedd and Shredder sent to eliminate any Power Rangers and Turtles allies across different universes. Interestingly, this world’s Turtles haven’t met Venus yet, but they will soon – she accidentally sent her enemies crashing through a portal, and they ended up on Earth, bringing Venus with them.
Venus De Milo is a significant character because she was once a major addition to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles universe. She first appeared in the 1997 live-action series TMNT: The Next Mutation, intended to build on the success of the earlier movies. Though that series didn’t last, Venus has reappeared in IDW’s comic books and is now set to team up with the Power Rangers.
The show revealed Venus was actually one of the first turtles exposed to the mutagen, changing the story to include five turtles instead of just four. She was found and trained by a ninja master, making her a skilled and capable fighter.
It’ll be fun to see how she interacts with the Turtles and whether her backstory matches the original series or has been changed. She’s also become much more powerful, which will be a huge help in defeating Zedd and Shredder, who have managed to gain the upper hand against both the Turtles and the Rangers.
