Lara has worn many different outfits throughout the Tomb Raider games, and focusing on small details like costuming feels unfair, especially since filming just began and we’ve only seen one official photo.
Turner has explained that her version of the series will differ from the games, specifically by downplaying the character’s initial focus on sex appeal. In an interview with the Los Angeles Times, she emphasized that she’s more interested in exploring Lara’s motivations and backstory as a performer, rather than just her attractiveness. Despite this, the announcement has already received some negative feedback, and with production just beginning, fans may have to wait another year to see the show.
