So, I’ve been following the launch of Code Vein 2 on Steam, and it’s been a bit rocky, with a lot of mixed feedback. Thankfully, Bandai Namco actually responded! They said they’re aware of the performance problems a lot of us are having, and the team is already working on fixes. They’re aiming to release those updates sometime between late February and March, focusing on making the game more stable and balancing things out. That’s really good to hear, and I’m hoping it makes a big difference!
To make the game run more smoothly, the team is working to lessen the strain on your computer or console during battles and balance it out when you’re exploring. This will help keep frame rates high and eliminate frustrating pauses or lag. Players on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S will see even better performance, especially when using the console’s “Prioritize Action” setting.
We’re making improvements to how quickly characters respond when dodging and blocking, and dodges will be more useful overall. Some attacks will feel better to use, and enemies will behave differently. We’ll share more specific details about these changes as the update release date approaches.
Bandai Namco has acknowledged player feedback and is working on updates to improve Code Vein 2. These updates will focus on boosting frame rates, fixing performance problems, and making the game more balanced. The team expressed their gratitude for ongoing player support.
The action RPG Code Vein 2 launched in late January, but players who purchased the Deluxe or Ultimate editions had early access. Unfortunately, the game received some negative feedback due to performance problems. Many players reported issues like objects appearing suddenly, awkward transitions in cutscenes, and a low frame rate, especially in certain areas. Some believe the game’s use of Unreal Engine 5 is the cause, with one player stating they had to cap the frame rate at 30 FPS just to make the game playable.
Before the game officially launched, players could try out a character creator demo with a huge variety of customization options – thousands of styles to choose from! The demo also lets you explore the Magmell’s Institute, a central hub area. Plus, you can create and save up to 64 characters in the demo to use when the full game is released.
In Code Vein 2, the world is facing destruction from a catastrophic event called the Resurgence. Players take on the role of a Revenant Hunter who must travel through time on a quest to prevent the world’s complete ruin.
We have received your feedback, and our team is committed to improving the game for a better experience. We are planning continuous updates to enhance frame rates, address performance issues, and refine gameplay balance. Thank you for your continued support of #CODEVEIN II.
