The infamous NES movie tie-in Jaws will bite PS5 later this week, from 13th February.
Despite its mixed reviews, the game offers a unique concept: you navigate the ocean, evading a dangerous killer who stalks the seas, and gradually improve your skills to eventually defeat him.
So, I’m really excited about this re-release because it’s letting me play the classic, original 8-bit game, but with some awesome modern features. They’ve added things like rewind and save states, which are lifesavers! Plus, there’s a totally new ROM hack that takes the game way beyond what I remember – it’s like getting a whole new adventure!
The update will feature a lengthy adventure inspired by all four Jaws movies, complete with new missions and goals. Players will also gain access to new skills and weapons.
It’s still unclear how well this new content will come together, but it aims to recapture the immersive, role-playing experience of the original. As we mentioned before, we believe the original concept had potential, but it wasn’t fully developed or well-made.
This game could be a great, nostalgic addition to your PlayStation 5 collection. Are you planning on playing it this week?
