You’d think Pearl Abyss’s open-world RPG, Crimson Desert, already had everything with its base-building, cooking, farming, fishing, and even criminal activities. But there’s more! Players can also customize the look of each of the three playable characters using a Barber Shop.
The recent trailer shows you’ll have a good amount of control over your character’s appearance. You can choose from several hairstyles, change hair color, add tattoos to your face and body, and customize beards and eyebrows. While it’s not a complete character creation system, it offers more options than games like The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.
You can customize your character’s outfits with different colors, and even change the color of individual pieces and materials. These dyes are discovered while exploring the world or through alchemy, and can also be used to personalize your horse and War Robot. We’ve shown off a few looks for characters like Kliff, Damiane, and Oongka, and combined with all the different armor sets, there will be plenty of ways to make your character unique.
Crimson Desert will release on March 19th for Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and PC. The game is already quite large, but the developers at Pearl Abyss are open to adding even more content if players want it.
