John Wick PS5 Game Has an Original Story That’s Part of the Canon, Movie Director Involved

In case you missed it, a brand new John Wick game has been announced for PS5.

The action movie series has ventured into video games before, like with John Wick Hex, but its next game aims to be much more ambitious and closely resemble the experience of watching the films.

Saber Interactive, the studio behind popular games like Evil Dead: The Game, A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead, and World War Z: Aftermath, is developing this title.

Fortunately, the development team is collaborating directly with key creative partners to make sure the game truly captures the spirit of John Wick. This includes input from director Chad Stahelski, Keanu Reeves, and the team at Lionsgate.

The upcoming game, currently without a title, tells a new story that connects to the overall John Wick universe. According to a PlayStation blog post, the game is set during a particular time in the John Wick timeline and will add to the franchise’s detailed backstory.

We’re developing this story with our writing team, Chad Stahelski, and Lionsgate. It’s a brand new adventure that explores a key moment in John Wick’s past, bringing back familiar faces and introducing exciting new characters created just for this game.

The game strives to capture the look and feel of the films, including the character’s signature gunplay and stylish action. Developers also appear to be focusing on recreating the movies’ visual presentation and camera work.

If everything goes according to plan, this could be the John Wick game fans have been hoping for! Let us know if you’re looking forward to it in the comments!
