Today’s Dylan Dreyer, Brian Fichera Break Up After Decade of Marriage

Dylan Dreyer is opening up about a shift in her personal life.

Today’s co-host has announced that she and her husband Brian Fichera have parted ways after 12 years of marriage. She made this revelation in a post on Instagram dated July 18.

Over a long period, I’ve been fortunate to have you all as part of my family – experiencing the good times and the tough ones, the joyous moments and the hardships. The bountiful memories and the beautiful moments in between, too. I can’t thank you enough for the unwavering support and affection you’ve shown me during this journey.

Instead, she went on to say, “A couple of months back, Brian and I chose to go our separate ways. Despite this change, we’ll always be the dearest of friends.

Regardless of any alterations, Calvin (age 8), Oliver (age 5), and Russell (age 3) – who are under the care of Brian, an NBC News producer and cameraman – will consistently place their children’s needs first.

Above all, we’ll keep on raising our three fantastic sons jointly, guided solely by affection and regard for each other,” the meteorologist concluded, “Once again, thank you for your continued support.

Before they parted ways, even with their hectic professions, the duo (who first encountered each other at a Boston news station in 2012) always found time for enjoyable golf outings.

Dylan mentioned that golf is something they enjoy together during an interview with Today.com in 2023. They shared photos of themselves playing golf at a tournament only a few days ago. According to Dylan, they have some drinks, share laughter, and are reminded of the reasons they fell in love. Afterward, they return home, resuming their family life.

Communication was also key for Dylan, 43, and Brian, 38.

She clarified that her family tends to harbor feelings of resentment. If something distresses us, instead of discussing the issue right away, we usually say, ‘I’ll speak with you later,’ and then move on without addressing the initial cause of our anger. Brian, however, insists on resolving conflicts promptly, as he often says, ‘Let’s talk about why you’re upset so we can get back to enjoying ourselves.’

And that’s exactly what they did.

Previously, she mentioned that due to our busy schedules, we don’t get together often, but we communicate frequently through texts. Sometimes, it’s more convenient to discuss significant or emotional topics using text messages since we can express ourselves fully without interruptions.

Family time was also an essential—and still is.

In 2023, Dylan stated that her boys make up her entire world. On weekends, she and Brian relish their role as a team, cherishing every moment with them and having as much fun as possible. Essentially, she plans to spend all her time at home, showering love on those three special individuals.

She emphasized that the focus is on spending quality time with family. Despite the demanding nature of this job, which becomes even more challenging during travel and hectic periods, it’s crucial to carve out moments for loved ones as well.
