About
A Fighter’s Nova: Mindara is a story-rich JRPG that combines compelling characters with the fast-paced action of a fighting game, letting you experience battles like a tag-team duel.
The story follows Maya, a driven teen martial artist trying to find her place in the world, and Mindara, a mysterious wolf-man seeking revenge after being unfairly exiled. Their paths converge at a legendary tournament in a secret, magical city—a place where fate, ancient stories, and personal desires clash.
During your journey, you’ll encounter a variety of companions, each with unique personalities, histories, and ways of fighting. You’ll build relationships – some friendly, some competitive – and earn their trust. This classic JRPG adventure focuses on character growth, gaining wisdom, and finding purpose, not just through conversations, but also through challenging battles.
Engage in Explosive Tag-Team Combat
The game blends a JRPG story with exciting, fully-playable fighting game battles. Each fight happens in real time, offering players precise control, complex strategies, and satisfying combo moves.
Quickly swap between characters during battles, link attacks together, and find powerful team combinations. Every character has a unique fighting style, special moves, and ultimate attack, letting you try out different teams and strategies.
The connections you build with other characters are important: how you develop those relationships in the story directly impacts how well they fight together. Stronger bonds unlock powerful team attacks and special moves, making combat more effective and personalized. This creates a seamless link between the story and the action, making everything more engaging.

A Love Letter to Shonen Manga
Okay, so this game, A Fighter’s Nova: Mindara, totally gives me those awesome 90s anime vibes. Think Ranma 1/2, Dragon Ball, Yu Yu Hakusho, and Hunter x Hunter – that kind of energy. The art style is a huge part of it; it’s all done in black and white like a classic manga, and it’s drawn by Issaka Galadima, who’s a seriously talented artist – he did Clock Striker, if you’ve heard of it. It just looks right, you know? It feels like playing through a manga!
The experience will be enhanced by a beautiful new soundtrack composed by Hiroki Kikuta, who also created the music for the classic game Secret of Mana.
