One Piece Anime Gets a Special Release in March Ahead of Its Return

The popular anime One Piece will be back this spring! Along with the return date announcement, it was revealed that a special release will happen beforehand to get fans excited. The decision to switch from weekly episodes to a seasonal format was a major change for the anime world, bringing One Piece‘s 26-year run of continuous episodes to a close. The series has been on hiatus for the last three months following the conclusion of its action-packed Egghead arc.

Even after finishing the Egghead story arc, new episodes with updated English dubbing kept being released. Recently, it was announced that One Piece will be back on April 5, 2026, and the last episodes of the English-dubbed Egghead arc (episodes 1144-1155) will be available on March 24, 2026. This means fans will be able to watch the complete Egghead arc in English before the anime starts its next story.

One Piece Anime Unveils the Final Release for the Egghead Arc in March

Get ready for more One Piece! The Straw Hat Crew is heading to the legendary island of Elbaph, coming to Crunchyroll this April. And if you prefer to watch dubbed, the final episodes of the Egghead Arc will be available in English next month. Find out more details here!

The English dub of the latest One Piece arc is now complete, marking the first time it’s been released at the same time as the original Japanese version. This means English dub fans can watch everything before the anime returns, and it’s a great option for those who don’t usually use subtitles. After finishing the Egghead arc – with the final dub episodes arriving on March 24th – dub watchers might consider switching to the subtitled version, as a new arc with improved animation is on the way. However, there are currently no plans to release the next arc with a simultaneous English dub.

This indicates that new English dubs of One Piece will still be released in groups, so it may be quite a while before the Elbaph arc is dubbed in English. This might lead some fans to watch with subtitles instead. The upcoming Elbaph arc is set to be a major one, taking place in the land of giants.

This story arc is building towards the end of the One Piece anime, so it’s a great time for fans to start watching with subtitles if they want to keep up with new episodes as they come out and experience the final story. One Piece fans have a lot to look forward to: season 2 of the live-action series is coming next month, and the final episodes of the English dub will wrap up the original format before the anime switches to a new release schedule in April.
