Priyanka Chopra Reveals Her Career Advice for Daughter Malti

Priyanka Chopra Jonas has some words of wisdom to share with her mini-me Malti Marie.

The actress from The Bluff revealed the single most important piece of advice she and her husband, Nick Jonas, would give their four-year-old daughter if she ever wants to become an entertainer.

Priyanka advised concentrating on your own work and skills, rather than getting caught up in outside distractions. “There’s a lot of pressure and noise that can pull you in different directions,” she told TopMob News’ Will Marfuggi, “but staying focused on improving your craft is what really matters and helps you succeed.”

Even though Malti is still a young child, the former Quantico star—whose new show, The Bluff, starts streaming on Prime Video February 25th—shared that her daughter already enjoys visiting her on set and learning about what her mom does.

Priyanka shared that her daughter has been around film sets since she was a baby. She’s traveled extensively – even since she was six months old – and has often joined Priyanka and her husband on tour, so she’s very familiar with what Priyanka’s job entails.

Malti hasn’t experienced a normal life, particularly because she was raised by parents who are both famous – one an actor and the other a musician – and constantly in the public eye.

Priyanka explained that they’re trying to make things feel normal for their daughter. They’ve explained that, like any parent, they both have jobs – hers involves making movies. She’s shown her around the set, introducing her to the different people and areas, like craft services, the first assistant director, the producer, and the hair and makeup team.

He explained that his daughter has visited the various parts of the production and really enjoys joining him at work. He finds her natural inquisitiveness and enthusiasm delightful.

No matter what path Malti decides to take, Priyanka and Nick, who married in 2018, will always be there for their daughter, enjoying watching her develop. This support is especially meaningful considering Malti spent her first three months of life in the hospital’s NICU after being born prematurely in January 2022.

As a parent, you know those moments when you just look at your child and feel completely overwhelmed with love and possibility? That’s been my experience lately with my daughter. She just turned four, and it’s incredible to watch her grow. Honestly, it feels like she has a little bit of magic inside her, and I can just see the amazing things she’s going to do. It’s truly humbling and awe-inspiring to be her parent and witness her unfolding potential. She’s just perfect, you know?

Nick Jonas shared that his daughter Malti seems to have a special awareness of life, perhaps because of her early experiences. He feels she appreciates every day as a gift, and you can see this joy and excitement in everything she does.

He wasn’t sure how much she recalled, saying it was likely very little. However, he felt she possessed a deep sense of gratitude and was a remarkable person.
