
Manon Bannerman is doing things her way.
The KATSEYE member shared that she is taking a break from the group to prioritize her health.
The group expressed their full support for the decision in a post on X on February 20th, and reaffirmed their dedication to each other and their fans, who they say are incredibly important to them.
Manon’s teammates in KATSEYE – including Yoonchae, Lara Raj, Daniela Avanzini, Sophia Laforteza, and Megan Skiendiel – said the group will keep working on their planned projects and are excited to reunite when it’s safe to do so.
They thanked their fans, known as EYEKONS, for their ongoing support and understanding.
Manon joined the group KATSEYE after they formed on the 2024 Netflix show Popstar Academy. She’s often talked about how grateful she is to be part of such a supportive and kind group of women.
We really focus on supporting each other through everything,” the 23-year-old explained to TopMob News at the 2026 Grammys. “It’s about making sure we all grow together on this wild ride and that no one gets left out. We’re committed to it.

The singer, known as ‘Gnarly,’ said they’re constantly in touch and make sure to check on each other, which is really important to them.
Manon, who was born in Switzerland, has always openly shared how much she’s enjoyed performing with KATSEYE. She’s said that seeing them perform and being nominated for a Grammy for Best New Artist were particularly meaningful experiences.
