Wilson Fisk, better known as the Kingpin, is a major crime boss in Marvel Comics, and as such, he frequently hires highly skilled assassins. First appearing in The Amazing Spider-Man #50, he quickly became a central figure in the Daredevil comics, and has since appeared in stories alongside characters like The Punisher. Facing constant threats from both superheroes trying to stop him and rival criminals, Kingpin relies on a team of dangerous mercenaries and assassins for protection and to carry out his plans.
Here is a look at the seven deadliest Kingpin assassins, ranked by power.
7) The Rose

The Rose is a highly skilled assassin with a deep connection to Wilson Fisk – he’s actually Fisk’s son, Richard. Surprisingly, he didn’t begin his career as a killer working for his father. Instead, when Richard discovered his dad was a powerful crime boss in New York City, he pretended to die to escape his influence. But Richard eventually resurfaced as the Rose, driven by a plan to eliminate his father and take control of his criminal empire.
The new villain’s plans failed, largely because he wasn’t as powerful as his father, the Kingpin, despite their close relationship. The Kingpin still cared for his son and eventually persuaded him to become a hitman. However, the son’s life was cut short – first by his own mother, who then died herself. Later, the Kingpin resurrected him, which led Rose to resume his independent operations.
6) Echo

Maya Lopez had a unique start when she began working for Kingpin as an assassin. Her father, William Lincoln, was secretly a mob enforcer for Wilson Fisk. Fisk eventually killed William, but promised to look after Maya. Honoring William’s request, Fisk recognized Maya’s natural talent for mimicking abilities and enrolled her in a school for gifted students.
Maya’s unique strength lay in her ability to perfectly copy fighting styles she observed, making her a formidable assassin and a challenging opponent for Daredevil. While Daredevil couldn’t see, he could anticipate attacks, mirroring Maya’s own skill set despite her deafness. Though a highly skilled assassin, Maya had one weakness: she fell in love with Matt Murdock. Kingpin exploited this, falsely convincing her that Daredevil was responsible for her father’s death. Once she discovered the truth, Maya betrayed Kingpin and dedicated herself to a heroic path.
5) Ikari

Ikari is a dangerous, though not widely known, villain from the Daredevil comics. He first appeared in Daredevil Vol. 3 #25 and was killed off just two years later. Despite his short run, he was considered an exceptionally skilled assassin working for Kingpin. Kingpin’s top enforcer, Bullseye, hired Ikari, a Japanese martial artist who fought while wearing a costume that resembled Daredevil’s original yellow and red suit.
Ikari boasted he possessed a radar sense similar to Daredevil’s and even had the opportunity to kill him, but he let Daredevil live, treating it like a challenge. This ultimately led to his defeat, as it gave Daredevil time to heal and fight back. While his true identity remains a mystery, it’s less important than the fact that he was essentially a twisted, disturbed copy of Daredevil – a dark reflection of the Man Without Fear.
4) Lady Bullseye

Lady Bullseye shares many similarities with Bullseye, including a hidden identity and real name. Originally from Japan, she was captured as a child by the Yakuza, who intended to sell her into sexual slavery. However, Bullseye unexpectedly intervened, killing the Yakuza members who had captured her. Inspired by his actions, she dedicated herself to becoming a skilled assassin like him.
Taking the name Lady Bullseye, she modeled herself after the man who had rescued her. While working with the Hand, she crossed paths with Kingpin and quickly became one of his top assassins. Though faster and a better close-combat fighter than Bullseye himself, she isn’t as precise, which keeps her slightly lower in overall power ranking.
3) Elektra

Elektra’s story shares similarities with Echo’s: she was manipulated by Kingpin into becoming an assassin, but later discovered the truth and turned against him and his criminal organization. She had a childhood connection with Matt Murdock, but after her father died, she honed her fighting abilities and became a skilled assassin, which eventually brought her to Kingpin’s attention.
Elektra initially worked for the ninja group called the Hand. After helping Daredevil defeat them, she was hired by Kingpin as his top assassin. Kingpin ordered her to kill a reporter named Ben Urich, but she hesitated when she encountered Daredevil (Matt Murdock) again. This led Bullseye, another of Kingpin’s assassins, to kill her. Even so, Elektra remained one of Kingpin’s most skilled and effective assassins, consistently outperforming everyone else he’s employed since.
2) Typhoid Mary

Typhoid Mary isn’t simply a skilled assassin working for Kingpin; she was also his wife and someone he loved. While she’s one of his most dangerous operatives due to being a mutant, Mary struggles with Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID). This means she has multiple personalities, and the emergence of a calmer, non-violent personality during a fight can unexpectedly end her involvement.
Despite her instability, she’s incredibly dangerous when focused and one of her aggressive personalities takes over. She proved this during the ‘Gang War’ comic storyline, putting up a surprisingly strong fight against She-Hulk – something very few of Kingpin’s other hired killers could have even hoped to achieve.
1) Bullseye

Though Typhoid Mary is the most powerful of Kingpin’s assassins due to her mutant abilities, Bullseye is actually more dangerous. He consistently hits his targets and never gives up, making him a more effective killer. Bullseye’s unstable mental state also makes him unpredictable and prone to extreme violence.
Bullseye demonstrated his superiority over Elektra by defeating and killing her. He then cruelly murdered Karen Page right before Daredevil’s eyes, deliberately trying to break Daredevil mentally. Later, in Daredevil: End of Days, Bullseye even killed Daredevil himself before committing suicide, feeling he had nothing left to live for. Because he’s the only assassin working for Kingpin who actually succeeded in killing Daredevil, Bullseye stands alone as the most dangerous and lethal of them all.
