After a significant delay, the highly anticipated anime adaptation of Witch Hat Atelier is scheduled to premiere this spring. Crunchyroll has revealed the release date and offered a sneak peek at the upcoming series. Fans of Kamome Shirahama’s manga have been eager for an anime adaptation, and while it was initially planned for a 2025 release, it was later postponed to 2026.
After a delay, Witch Hat Atelier is now set to premiere as part of the Spring 2026 anime season, and Crunchyroll has announced it will begin streaming the new series on April 6th. Witch Hat Atelier Confirms April 2026 Release Date on Crunchyroll
The anime adaptation of Witch Hat Atelier is set to premiere on April 6th, 2026. Fans in North and South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East, and CIS countries will be able to watch it exclusively on Crunchyroll. Ayumu Watanabe will direct the series, with Hiroaki Kojima producing. Kairi Unabara is responsible for the character designs, and Yuka Kitamura will compose the music. The production team also recently announced details about the voice actors who will be bringing the characters to life.
The voice cast for the Witch Hat Atelier anime is growing! Joining Rena Motomura (as Coco) and Natsuki Hanae (as Qifrey) are Hibiku Yamamura (as Agott), Kurumi Haruki (as Tetia), Hika Tsukishiro (as Richeh), Yuichi Nakamura (as Olruggio), Misaki Kuno (as Brushbuddy), and Mitsuki Saiga (as Iguin). Eve (TOY’S FACTORY) will perform the opening theme, titled “Kaze no Ansemu feat. suis from Yorushika,” and Nakamura Hak will sing the ending theme, “Tada Utsukushii Noroi.”
What Is Witch Hat Atelier About?
The new anime, Witch Hat Atelier, is set in a world where only witches can use magic, but they have to keep it hidden from everyone else. The story follows Coco, a young girl who dreams of becoming a witch. When a witch named Qifrey comes to her village, Coco learns a big secret and becomes his apprentice, starting her magical training. It’s a story about young people facing difficult times, but still searching for hope.
Fantasy anime has been incredibly popular this year, with shows like Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End leading the way.
