Older Star Wars games don’t always reflect the story developments from recent movies and shows, simply because they were made before those additions existed. For instance, both the 2005 and 2017 versions of Star Wars Battlefront 2 feature content based on the Star Wars universe as it was known when those games were originally released. This makes revisiting and updating these older games appealing – it allows them to incorporate the franchise’s expanded history and feel current.
