One idea for Townfall is to use a gameplay loop similar to roguelikes, where Simon restarts at the water near St. Amelia whenever he’s defeated. Like Returnal, the game could feature consistent progress alongside a haunting atmosphere, with the town changing slightly as the story unfolds. While Silent Hill: Townfall would likely build on the familiar elements of Silent Hill 2, it needs unique gameplay mechanics to become a memorable experience on its own.
