As of March 12th, 2026, the results of February’s Game of the Month vote are in, and it wasn’t much of a surprise! One game clearly stood out and easily won our public poll.
Yes, Resident Evil Requiem is our official Game of the Month for February 2026.
It wasn’t even a competition. The newest game in the series is a hit with a large audience and is quickly becoming one of the best-selling Resident Evil games of all time. That kind of success usually means it’s a really great game, and this one certainly seems to be.
Our poll received over 800 votes, and Requiem won by a significant margin, taking more than half the total. It’s especially impressive considering how many great new releases came out this month – the competition was tough!
For reference, these were the top five PS5 games of February 2026, according to our readers:
- Resident Evil Requiem – 454 votes (56%)
- Dragon Quest 7 Reimagined – 126 votes (16%)
- Nioh 3 – 78 votes (10%)
- Avowed – 33 votes (4%)
- Reanimal – 19 votes (2%)
Resident Evil Requiem successfully blends two different ways to play, creating a unique experience that stands out even within the long history of the Resident Evil series.
The game leans heavily into nostalgia, but in a good way—it’s not overdone. Ultimately, it’s a thoroughly enjoyable experience for fans and genuinely fun to play.
Playing as Leon offers a thrilling experience. However, Grace’s sections deliver some truly standout horror moments – some of the scariest the Resident Evil series has seen in a while. It’s a fantastic combination of action and suspense!
Congrats, Capcom — and keep up the good work!
January 2026 began quietly, but February quickly picked up the pace.
February was packed with new game releases, including several major titles. This means there will be strong competition for our Game of the Month award.
Last month had a little something for every gamer. Fans of classic Japanese role-playing games enjoyed the updated Dragon Quest 7, while Nioh 3 delivered intense, fast-paced action. And for those who loved the original, God of War: Sons of Sparta offered a fresh take on a beloved series.
We saw a really diverse range of games, from the quirky ‘Romeo Is a Dead Man’ and the lighthearted ‘High on Life 2’, to the expansive adventure of ‘Avowed’, which used to be exclusive to Xbox.
Let’s not forget the fantastic Resident Evil Requiem – it was a truly impressive way to finish off the month!
Before we start voting, let’s quickly remember who’s won Game of the Month so far in 2026 – though we only have one winner at the moment!
- January 2026: Trails beyond the Horizon
