Kandi Burruss is wrapping up her divorce with Todd Tucker.
Nearly four months after announcing their split, former Real Housewives of Atlanta star and a TV producer have come to a settlement agreement, according to documents obtained by TMZ on March 12th.
The former couple, who met and married in 2014 while working on a Bravo show, have been asked by the court to finalize their divorce paperwork. This includes details about child support and a plan for how they will raise their two children, 10-year-old Ace Tucker and 6-year-old Blaze Tucker.
Kandi, 49, has expressed hope for a friendly co-parenting arrangement with Todd, 52, though the specifics of their custody agreement haven’t been made public yet.
She shared on Today With Jenna & Sheinelle that they’ve agreed to always be wonderful co-parents to their children. They also plan to continue celebrating some holidays together as a family, even though they’ve decided to separate.
Kandi Burruss, also a mother to 23-year-old Riley Burruss with her ex, Russell Spencer, explained, “We’re doing our best to make things as smooth as possible for our kids.”
Kandi explained that issues in her 11-year marriage to Todd had been building for some time. During a November livestream, she shared she’d been struggling and that life had been throwing challenges her way.
Despite everything, the singer of “Cheatin’ On Me” doesn’t regret her relationship with Todd, as it resulted in her having “two wonderful, beautiful children.”

Following her breakup, Kandi has been focusing on her career, particularly her work in the Broadway musical & Juliet.
She shared with Today that pursuing her passions has been incredibly therapeutic. ‘When you’re struggling, having a positive focus is essential,’ she explained. ‘For me, that means singing, practicing, striving to improve – physically, vocally, in every way – so I can give my best performance on stage.’

Despite ending their romantic relationship in 2023, the Grammy-winning artist and their Swedish-Syrian partner still work together to raise their children, Lucia and Renn.
Jwan described their relationship with their co-parent as “wonderful” in an interview with Attitude in September 2025. They have a stable and peaceful co-parenting arrangement, living just ten minutes apart and communicating every other day, with a shared focus on their children’s well-being.
He described it as more than just an experience, but a fulfilling way of life, saying, “It’s been truly wonderful.”

Megan Fox and Brian Austin Green, parents to Noah, Bodhi, and Journey, prioritize their children’s well-being as they navigate co-parenting. According to Brian, the most important thing is to always focus on what’s best for the kids, understanding that a breakup will inevitably impact them, but they can control how it affects them. He emphasizes the need to choose your battles, acknowledging that disagreements led to the separation in the first place. Expecting a smooth relationship after separating is unrealistic; the focus needs to shift to effective co-parenting, which is a separate challenge. Megan agrees, stressing the importance of never speaking negatively about the other parent, even subtly. She believes it’s crucial to maintain a positive energy around the children, as accepting and loving their father is accepting and loving a part of them – he’s integral to who they are.

Josh Duhamel and Fergie continue to demonstrate a positive co-parenting relationship. Duhamel recently shared on The Jess Cagle Show how supportive Fergie has been, even welcoming his wife, Audra Mari, into the family. He noted how fortunate they are to have a civil relationship, especially considering how things can often go after a divorce—which was finalized in 2019 following their 2017 split.
Duhamel shared that Fergie was genuinely happy for him and Audra when they announced they were expecting their son, Shepherd, who was born in January 2024. Shepherd joined big brother Axl, whom Duhamel shares with Fergie. Duhamel emphasized Fergie’s kind heart and expressed how thrilled she is for their growing family, noting she’s been incredibly welcoming and supportive.

Irina Shayk, who has a daughter named Lea with Bradley Cooper, doesn’t like the label “co-parenting.” In a 2021 interview with ELLE, she explained that when she’s with her daughter, she’s fully a mother, and when Lea is with her dad, he’s fully her father. She simply sees it as parenting.
Even though Irina and Bradley ended their four-year relationship in 2019, they’ve remained friendly. Despite their busy lives, they continue to take family vacations, spend time together in New York, and support each other.
In a 2023 interview, Irina praised Bradley, saying, “He’s the best father Lea and I could dream of.” She added that their successful arrangement works because they both make it a priority.

Finding a co-parenting groove takes time, as Mariah Carey knows well. Fortunately, she and Nick Cannon, parents to twins Moroccan and Monroe, have established a positive routine. Cannon described their relationship as a strong friendship, praising Carey for the lessons she’s taught him and emphasizing their family connection. Carey herself is pleased with the progress they’ve made since their divorce in 2014, noting that her children enjoy time with both parents. She prioritizes fairness, understanding the challenges children face when their parents are divorced. In addition to Moroccan and Monroe, Nick Cannon is also father to Zion and Mixolydian with Abby De La Rosa, Golden, Powerful Queen, and Rise Messiah with Brittany Bell, Legendary Love with Bre Tiesi, Onyx Ice with LaNisha Cole, and Halo Marie and the late Zen with Alyssa Scott.

We can’t talk about modern breakups without mentioning Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin. The Oscar-winning actress and the Coldplay singer famously introduced the term “consciously uncoupling” when they announced their separation in 2014.
Gwyneth explained on The Drew Barrymore Show in 2020 that prioritizing their children, Apple and Moses, was challenging. She said even when it was difficult to be around her ex-husband, they committed to things like family dinner. It meant taking a deep breath, making eye contact, remembering their commitment to co-parenting, and finding ways to connect with humor and affection.
The Goop founder emphasized that she and Martin will always remain a family, acknowledging that it isn’t always easy. They have good days and bad days, but ultimately, they’re working towards unity and love for their children. She believes that breaking up doesn’t mean losing respect or affection for the qualities they once loved in each other.

Following their divorce in 2022, Gisele Bündchen and Tom Brady have been navigating the challenges of co-parenting. Gisele admitted in a 2024 interview with Robin Roberts that some days are harder than others, but her and Tom’s children, Benjamin and Vivian, are smart and adaptable. She focuses on controlling her own reactions and allowing the kids to adjust to having different rules in each household.
According to Gisele, it’s all about finding balance. Both she and Tom spend time with the children, allowing them to benefit from experiencing two different perspectives and learning from two different worlds.
Tom emphasized that they are both committed to raising their children—including Jack, his son with Bridget Moynahan—with kindness, empathy, and strong values, recognizing that today’s children are growing up in a different world than they did.

Ben Affleck, having played a superhero himself, recognizes one in his ex-wife, Jennifer Garner. He considers her a ‘superhero mom’ to their three children, Violet, Seraphina, and Samuel. Affleck, who announced his divorce from Garner in 2015 and finalized it in 2018, told TopMob News that she’s an amazing mother and he feels lucky to co-parent with her, always prioritizing their kids. Jennifer Lopez, who married Affleck in 2022 before filing for divorce in 2024, also praised Garner as an amazing co-parent, noting that she and Ben work well together.

Although Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik broke up in 2021, they’ve successfully navigated co-parenting their daughter, Khai. Zayn shared on the Call Her Daddy podcast in 2023 that they have a strong relationship focused on Khai’s well-being, saying, “It’s going well, I think.” Gigi told The Sunday Times that prioritizing a child’s happiness is key for co-parents, as you’ll be connected to the other parent for a long time. She also expressed her joy that Khai has the opportunity to spend time with both of her parents.

Khloe Kardashian is committed to co-parenting with her ex, Tristan Thompson, despite past difficulties. While it hasn’t been easy – especially considering Thompson’s history of infidelity – Khloe prioritizes their children, True and Tatum Thompson, and maintaining a respectful relationship for their sake. She explained in a January 2024 interview with tmrw (as reported by People) that managing her feelings and avoiding impulsive reactions was a key part of this process. Ultimately, Khloe wants her children to have a strong, positive bond with their father. She believes that if Thompson is willing to be an involved and present parent – as he also is to his other children, Prince (with Jordan Craig) and Theo (with Maralee Nichols) – she wouldn’t want to interfere with that.

Even though Orlando Bloom and Miranda Kerr separated in 2013, they continue to successfully co-parent their son, Flynn. This includes a friendly relationship with both of their current partners: Katy Perry, Orlando’s wife, and Evan Spiegel, Miranda’s husband.
Miranda has spoken warmly about Katy, expressing her happiness that Orlando found love again. She emphasizes that Flynn having happy parents is the most important thing, and she’s thankful everyone respects each other.
Despite busy schedules and growing families—Orlando and Katy now have a daughter, Daisy Dove, and Miranda and Evan have three sons, Hart, Myles, and Pierre—they still prioritize coming together for important occasions. Miranda explained that they always find compromises to ensure the best outcome for their entire family, with Flynn’s well-being remaining their top priority.

Kate Hudson believes it’s important to maintain friendly relationships with her ex-husbands, Chris Robinson and Matt Bellamy, even after their romantic relationships have ended. She explained in a 2022 interview with The Sunday Times that she and Chris simply need to check in with each other periodically, especially as they co-parent their son, Ryder. She also praised Matt, father to her son Bingham, as a “wonderful” co-parent. Kate feels that love doesn’t simply disappear after a breakup, and can evolve into a different, positive connection focused on their child. Kate is also mother to daughter Rani, with fiancé Danny Fujikawa. While her family structure might not be conventional, she feels incredibly strong and successful as a unit, and proud of the bond she’s created with her three children and their fathers.

It can be challenging for divorced parents to get along, but Anna Faris says her relationship with her ex-husband, Chris Pratt, his wife Katherine Schwarzenegger, and their children is improving. Faris, who shares a son, Jack, with Pratt, told People magazine in 2022 that everyone is getting closer, and she’s grateful for that. She appreciates how protective both Chris and Katherine are of her, and wants to offer them the same support.
Faris described Katherine as “awesome” and praised her parenting of Jack, noting she’s very organized and attentive. She also mentioned Katherine and Chris’ other children, Lyla, Eloise, and Ford.
Now married to Michael Barrett, Faris says time has helped ease any tension, and she’s happy with how the blended family is functioning. She feels relieved that the difficult feelings from the past have subsided.

It’s helpful when co-parents agree, and Mel B says it took time for her and Eddie Murphy to build that kind of connection.
Mel B, reflecting on past difficulties with PTSD and controlling behavior, explained to Us Weekly in May 2025 that it was challenging to build a strong relationship with Eddie while she was going through those experiences. She said she gradually managed to do so.
However, she added that their friendship has actually grown stronger in recent years, especially since they share their teenage daughter, Angel.
Angel often visits Eddie’s home, and they enjoy spending time and going on vacation together. Mel B praised Eddie as a dedicated father to his ten children.

Even though the TV show The O.C. was known for its drama, Rachel Bilson says her relationship with ex Hayden Christensen as they co-parent their daughter is positive. Bilson told People magazine in 2024 that “Everything’s good” and that their daughter, Briar Rose, is thriving with lots of support from both parents.
