The annual Game Developers Conference (GDC) is happening now, and there’s been a flood of exciting news and game reveals. Gamers have a lot to be excited about, including the first look at gameplay for Stupid Never Dies and updates on major releases. Digital Sun, the creators of popular indie games like Moonlighter and Cataclismo, also announced their next project on March 12th: ReVamp. Early looks suggest it’s shaping up to be a great game.
ReVamp is a single-player game where you defend your castle, with a dark, Gothic atmosphere. You play as Dracula, who is endlessly tasked with protecting his throne. From the first trailer, it looks like another great game from the creators of Moonlighter. While we don’t know when it will be released, early details suggest a fun mix of building up your castle, classic tower defense gameplay, and fast-paced combat.
ReVamp Reveal Trailer Shows Off Vampire Tower Defense Soaked in Gothic Horror

If you love vampires, roguelites, base building, or tower defense, you should definitely check out ReVamp. You play as Dracula, managing and customizing your castle to defend against attackers. The way you build and change your fortress directly affects how enemies move and fight, changing the battle as it happens. You’ll face increasingly difficult waves of barbarians, knights, and priests, and you’ll need to constantly adapt your strategies to survive.
Beyond building and fortifying his castle, Dracula commands an army of supernatural creatures to defend against attackers. However, when things get critical, Dracula takes to the battlefield himself, fighting with powerful melee attacks and blood magic to overwhelm his enemies. By doing so, players will gain access to new areas of the castle, enhance their minions with new abilities, and unlock other strategic tools.
I just watched the reveal trailer for this new game, and I’m already hooked! It shows off both cool story scenes and actual gameplay, so you get a really good feel for how it plays. It seems like they’ve mixed a bunch of awesome things together – think Metroidvania-style exploration, building defenses like in a tower defense game, and commanding your troops strategically. If you’re curious, you can check out the ReVamp reveal trailer below – it looks like a really exciting indie release!
ReVamp appears to offer a really engaging mix of gameplay, combining base building, tower defense, and action combat, all wrapped in a dark, Gothic atmosphere. I’m definitely interested to see how it all comes together.
I’m super hyped for ReVamp, and the Steam page is finally up! You can wishlist it now. It’s probably going to be a bit before it actually comes out, but Digital Sun is planning a bunch of playtests soon to get our feedback. If you want a chance to try it out early, you should join the ReVamp Discord – that’s where they’ll be picking playtesters for this awesome Gothic Tower-Defensevania!
