Influencers Livvy Dunne, Noah Beck, & Brooks Nader Shine in ‘Baywatch’ Set Photos

Continuing a story that began almost 40 years ago, Fox is bringing back Baywatch with a new series planned for the 2026-27 television season. The pilot episode will be directed by filmmaker and producer McG, who signed on in September 2025. Set and filmed in Los Angeles and Venice Beach, California, the show will follow the Baywatch lifeguards as they patrol the state’s beaches, train new team members, and rescue people from dangerous situations.

The new show isn’t expected to premiere on Fox until September or October, but excitement is growing to see how this classic story is updated for today’s audiences. This is the first time the story has been retold since the 2017 Baywatch movie starring Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Zac Efron – a film that earned nearly $180 million worldwide but received negative reviews from critics. Now, fans are getting their first look at this fresh take on the beloved story.

Page 6 recently released behind-the-scenes photos from the set of the new Baywatch series. The pictures feature the main actors on the beach, wearing the iconic red swimsuits that have been a signature of Baywatch since the show first aired in 1989.

The photos showcase several popular social media influencers who are about to appear on TV for the first time, or are taking on their most significant roles yet. Featured is Livvy Dunne, known for her gymnastics career at Louisiana State University, now transitioning into full-time influencing. This project marks Dunne’s acting debut.

Brooks Nader filmed scenes on the beach for her second acting role, following a small part in the 2018 movie Backtrace. Noah Beck, known for appearances in Doctor Odyssey and Doogie Kamealoha, M.D., is also featured, and this is set to be his most significant role to date.

The new series Baywatch will star Stephen Amell, famous for playing Oliver Queen in Arrow and other CW shows. He’ll play Hobie Buchannon, the grown-up son of Mitch Buchannon (originally played by David Hasselhoff), and will be dedicated to continuing his father’s work of keeping the beaches safe.

He’ll be in charge of training new team members, including the character introduced by Dunne, and navigating personal issues – his daughter is expected to seek his guidance as she pursues a similar career path. With a diverse cast and the challenges of his job, viewers can expect plenty of drama and action when the show airs.

Baywatch is expected to begin airing on Fox this fall, but it does not have an official schedule.
