Netflix to Release Stranger Things: The Complete Series

Though it’s finished streaming on Netflix, fans can soon own the entire Stranger Things series. All five seasons will be available together on Blu-ray and 4K UHD, which is unusual for a Netflix show.

The complete Stranger Things series on DVD and Blu-ray will be available on July 27th in the UK and July 28th in the US and Canada. You can find it at most major retailers, both online and in stores. Fans can pre-order the set now to receive it as soon as it’s released.

Special and deluxe editions of Stranger Things: The Complete Series will also be available. These versions include extra content like bloopers, fresh interviews with the cast and crew, and footage from behind the scenes. The deluxe edition goes even further, featuring newly created artwork, collectible art cards, a Hellfire Club patch and dice set, double-sided posters for all five seasons, and unique Stranger Things tokens.

Dean Lawson, Director of Sales and Marketing at Arrow Films, stated that collaborating with Netflix and the Duffer Brothers on a special physical edition of Stranger Things has been a fantastic experience. He described the show as massively popular, globally adored, and a significant part of pop culture for almost a decade.

Lawson from Arrow expressed their excitement about releasing this on physical media, stating they’ve created a box set filled with extras, interesting items, and collectibles from the world of Stranger Things that fans will love.

The different versions are priced as follows: the Deluxe UHD Edition costs $269.99 (or £219.99), the Deluxe Blu-ray Edition is $249.99 (£199.99), the Special UHD Edition is $219.99 (£159.99), and the Special Blu-ray Edition is $199.99 (£149.99).

Netflix Rarely Releases Original Content on Physical Media

It’s rare for Netflix to release full series on DVD or Blu-ray. The company usually focuses on keeping its original shows available only to subscribers on its streaming service. Physical copies of Netflix shows are uncommon, so it’s unexpected to see them releasing a popular series like Stranger Things in this way.
