Crimson Desert Mystical Key: How to open the Alchemist’s Chamber door

Wondering how to use the Mystical Key in Crimson Desert?

If you assist the beggar in Hernand, you’ll be rewarded with a Mystical Key. This key isn’t much to look at at first, but it will eventually change into a beautiful and valuable item.

You’ll be able to use the Mystical Key to unlock the Alchemist’s Chamber soon, so let me quickly explain how it works.

Crimson Desert Mystical Key: How to open the Alchemist’s Chamber door

After completing the Heart Beyond Borders quest and beginning the Trace quest, you’ll need to take a look at the Mystical Key.

Open your inventory, highlight the key and press X/A to examine it.

After this, head to Hernand Castle. Make sure you have the Hernandian Attire – you got it for cleaning the chimney in the previous quest – or the guards won’t allow you to enter.

As you approach the castle, pass through the two gates. At the main entrance, enter the first doorway on your right and go upstairs.

Go through here and enter the hall to your right. You’ll see three locked doors on your left. Your next goal is to open the Alchemist’s Chamber.

You might have to try a few doors, but to make things easier, we can tell you the Alchemist’s Chamber is the first one on the left.

Simply walk into the door to use the Mystical Key to open it and walk through.

When you see a glowing portal appear on the wall, open the chest nearby. Then, walk up to the portal and press Square (on PlayStation) or X (on Xbox) to step through and start the Polar Opposites quest.
