Netflix has announced that production has begun at last on its Assassin’s Creed TV adaptation.
The show was first announced over five years ago, and we haven’t heard much about it since. Now, we’re finally getting a clearer picture of its current status.
Netflix announced on social media that filming for the series has begun in Rome, Italy.
The show features a talented cast, including Toby Wallace, Lola Petticrew, Laura Marcus, Tanzyn Crawford, Zachary Hart, Claes Bang, Nabhaan Rizwan, and several other actors.
The TV show tells an original story, and is set to take place in Rome circa 64 AD. Here’s the official synopsis:
Assassin’s Creed is a fast-paced, exciting story about a hidden conflict between two groups. One group wants to control humanity’s future, while the other fights to protect people’s freedom. The series takes place during important moments in history, as characters struggle to influence the course of human events.
We don’t have a release date for the show yet, and since production is just beginning, it will likely be some time before it’s available. However, it’s good that things are finally getting underway.
So, I’m really curious – is anyone else hyped for the Assassin’s Creed Netflix show? Let me know what you think down in the comments!
