Amazon Studios consistently delivers quality entertainment. Prime Video offers a diverse range of shows, from hilarious comedies like Jury Duty to gripping thrillers like Cross, and a lot more in between. While most shows are well-made, not all of them stay consistently good throughout their entire run – some have stronger episodes than others.
There are 10 shows on Prime Video that are consistently great—none of them have a truly bad season, and a few only have one! It’s the perfect time to make some popcorn, get comfy, and find your next binge-worthy series to add to your ever-growing list of shows to watch.
‘Overcompensating’ – 1 Season (2025-Present)

Prime Video
When things feel chaotic, is there anything more satisfying than a truly good laugh? The comedy series Overcompensating, created by Benito Skinner, centers around Benny, a high school athlete who’s secretly gay, as he starts college. The show brilliantly explores the damaging effects of traditional masculinity, how it impacts all sexual orientations, and how both outward prejudice and self-doubt can keep people from being open about who they are. The entire cast is incredibly funny, but Holmes as Hailee Matthews really stood out. It’s a consistently hilarious show from beginning to end – bring on season two!
‘The Expanse’ – 6 Seasons (2015-2022)

Syfy/Prime Video
I’ll always insist that The Expanse is among the greatest science fiction shows ever made. The show benefited from being based on a fantastic, detailed book series, and the authors, James S.A. Corey, were closely involved in its production. With captivating acting, incredible visuals, and a compelling story, The Expanse is genuinely gripping. What sets it apart is how believable it feels – it presents a future that feels like a natural extension of where we are today, and where we could realistically be in a couple of centuries with continued technological progress.
‘Reacher’ – 3 Seasons (2022-Present)
Amazon has a knack for successful book-to-screen adaptations, and their hit show Reacher is no exception. Based on Lee Child’s Jack Reacher novels, the series stars Alan Ritchson as the titular character – a former military police officer who travels the country righting wrongs and taking down villains. He’s also impressively fit! Reacher is a classic, fast-paced action show that doesn’t try to be anything more than pure entertainment. If you’re looking for an exciting thriller to simply enjoy without much thought, Reacher is a perfect choice.
‘Fallout’ – 2 Seasons (2024-Present)

Prime Video
Get ready for some YumYum Deviled Eggs and a Nuka-Cola – the world as we know it has ended! But the new Fallout series proves that video game adaptations can be both faithful to the original game and genuinely entertaining. Ella Purnell brilliantly plays Lucy, capturing her hopeful and innocent nature, and Aaron Moten provides excellent comedic timing as Maximus, especially in the first season. The show is delightfully over-the-top with its violence, and it’s refreshing to see a series that doesn’t take itself too seriously – it’s wonderfully strange and quirky.
‘A League of Their Own’ – 1 Season (2022)

Amazon Studios
Give A League of Their Own the recognition it deserves! This series, based on the 1992 film, is full of heartwarming queer romance – a rare find in sports shows (especially before Heated Rivalry). Set in 1943, it follows the Rockford Peaches, a team of talented women baseball players. We see Carson Shaw achieve her baseball dreams and find love, while Maxine Chapman, a skilled Black pitcher, faces discrimination simply for trying out. A League of Their Own beautifully celebrates those who were overlooked and marginalized, at a time when being true to yourself could be dangerous. It’s a fantastic show that deserved a longer run.
‘Undone’ – 2 Seasons (2019-2022)

Prime Video
What exactly is time? The series Undone is a moving and thought-provoking exploration of grief, mental well-being, and the very concept of time. Starring Rosa Salazar, it tells the story of Alma, a woman who gains the power to control time after a car accident. She uses this ability to investigate the circumstances surrounding her father’s death. Undone is visually striking, employing a unique animation technique called rotoscoping – where animators trace over live-action film to create a hyperrealistic effect. It’s a truly original show, and its captivating visuals are unforgettable.
‘Cross’ – 2 Seasons (2024-Present)
James Patterson’s popular Alex Cross novels are now a TV series. Aldis Hodge stars as Alex Cross, a forensic psychologist and detective who hunts down dangerous criminals with his partner, Detective John Sampson. The show follows Alex as he works to solve crimes while also protecting his family. Hodge gives a standout performance, bringing a powerful and captivating presence to the role. Cross is a compelling and realistic crime drama that keeps you hooked, and Season 2 takes the story into even more intense and daring areas. Hopefully, we’ll get a Season 3!
‘Good Omens’ – 2 Seasons (2019-Present)

Prime Video
Despite being an angel and a demon, Aziraphale and Crowley have become friends and work together to save the world from the apocalypse. Based on the popular novel by Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman, the series Good Omens follows their unlikely partnership, spurred by a prophecy from centuries ago. The show benefits from the fantastic chemistry between stars Michael Sheen and David Tennant, who bring the book’s charming and eccentric characters to life. Good Omens offers a welcome escape with its witty humor and heartwarming story.
‘Fleabag’ – 2 Seasons (2016-2019)

BBC One
If hearing someone say “This too shall pass” feels incredibly painful, you might find comfort – and a lot to relate to – in Phoebe Waller-Bridge’s Fleabag. This show perfectly captures the Millennial experience. It centers around Fleabag, a woman dealing with a personal loss in London. From this simple starting point, Waller-Bridge crafts a powerfully honest and moving depiction of grief – it’s messy, complicated, and beautifully real. Plus, it’s genuinely funny and surprisingly sensual (let’s just say the Hot Priest is a highlight!). If you appreciate dark comedy, sharp writing, and a thoughtful look at loss, Fleabag is definitely worth watching.
‘Mozart in the Jungle’ – 4 Seasons (2014-2018)
Amazon Studios
Classical music gets a fun, modern makeover in Mozart in the Jungle, one of Amazon’s first original series. The show stars the charismatic Gael García Bernal and Lola Kirke (you might know her from Sinners). It’s loosely based on Blair Tindall’s memoir, Mozart in the Jungle: Sex, Drugs, and Classical Music, which details her experiences as an oboist in New York City. Bernal’s character, an eccentric orchestra conductor, is inspired by the real-life conductor Gustavo Dudamel.
Mozart in the Jungle offers a rare glimpse behind the scenes of the classical music world, revealing its surprisingly competitive nature. The show features captivating characters, especially the two main leads, and skillfully blends humor with heartfelt moments.
