A disappointing spell has been cast over the future release schedule for HBO’s Harry Potter series.

HBO’s House of the Dragon and The Last of Us have each released new seasons every two years. House of the Dragon premiered seasons in 2022, 2024, and is planned for 2026, while The Last of Us has released seasons in 2023 and 2025, with season three expected in 2027. It appears the new Harry Potter series will follow this same pattern, releasing new seasons every other year.
Considering the ambitious scope of HBO’s Harry Potter series, it’s expected to be a long-running show.
