Nintendo General Direct Coming in June, Splatoon Raiders and Switch Sports Out This Summer – Rumor

Recent reports suggested Nintendo was cutting back on Nintendo Switch 2 production in the US because of slow sales, leading to worries about their game plans for 2026. However, according to industry insider NateTheHate, Nintendo is actually planning a big release schedule this summer, which could ease those concerns.

Rumors suggest Nintendo won’t have a major presentation until June, which is common since that month often sees big game announcements. However, this presentation could reveal release dates for games like Splatoon Raiders, Switch Sports, and Rhythm Heaven Groove. According to Nate, these games are planned for release this summer, potentially leading to a consistent stream of Switch 2 game announcements from June through early September.

That’s not the complete list of games Nintendo has planned, and they could still announce some major hits – perhaps even a hint of a new 3D Mario game. Right now, they’re doing very well, thanks to the success of Pokémon Pokopia, which sold over 2.2 million copies in just four days, and recent releases like Super Mario Bros. Wonder – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Meetup in Bellabel Park.

I’m really excited for Yoshi and the Mysterious Book! It’s coming out on May 21st, and it’s interesting that Nintendo is now selling physical and digital versions of games at different prices. The physical copy costs $69.99, but the digital version is a bit cheaper at $59.99 – that’s a nice little saving!
