Invincible VS adds Conquest; DLC characters Universa and the Immortal announced

Skybound Games and Quarter Up announced that Conquest will be the 18th and final playable character available when Invincible VS, a three-versus-three tag fighting game, launches. They also revealed that Universa and the Immortal will be added to the game as downloadable content characters this summer.

Here are the latest details:

Conquest Joins the Fight!

Conquest isn’t just a warning—he’s the end of the conversation.

At the Evo Awards today, Skybound Entertainment’s Quarter Up studio revealed Conquest as a new playable character in their upcoming fighting game, Invincible VS. The game is based on the popular Invincible universe.

As a fan, I have to say Conquest is terrifying! He’s easily the most brutal Viltrumite – he actually enjoys causing massive destruction and pain. He doesn’t care about rules, traditions, or even what other Viltrumites think. He just solves everything with overwhelming force, and doesn’t even flinch at hurting innocent people. They call him the ‘nuclear option’ because he’s brought in when the Viltrum Empire needs a planet crushed, and they don’t care how. It’s crazy, but even with all that power, he seems really lonely – his own people clearly can’t stand him, which is a surprisingly sad thing to see.

In Invincible VS, Conquest is a formidable “Striker” known for his relentless attacks. He overwhelms opponents with strong punches, well-timed counter-projectiles, and a powerful charging attack that gets faster and more durable as it moves. Use his armored abilities strategically to break through enemy defenses!

Conquest is the last of 18 playable characters available when the game launches. He joins a diverse cast of popular favorites, including Mark Grayson (Invincible), Thula, Bulletproof, Atom Eve, Rex Splode, Omni-Man, Battle Beast, Cecil Stedman, Robot, Monster Girl, Anissa, Lucan, Powerplex, Dupli-Kate, Allen the Alien, Titan, and Ella Mental—a brand new character created specifically for Invincible VS.

Conquest’s Evo Awards Reveal Moment

True to the style of Invincible, the unveiling of Conquest at the Evo Awards was captivating. A massive, 6’8” statue of Conquest emerged from 3,500 pounds of ice and simulated blood, thrilling both the live audience and viewers watching online. The more people who gathered to watch, the faster Conquest was revealed.

Open Beta: Modes and Omni-Man Skin Revealed

Along with the announcement of Conquest, Quarter Up gave more information about the upcoming open beta for Invincible VS. The beta will run from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM Pacific Time, April 9th to 11th, and will include several game modes. They also hinted at an exclusive skin that will be available to those who participate in the beta.

The Open Beta offers several ways to play, including a Tutorial, Practice mode, and Ranked matches. Plus, players who participate in the Invincible VS Open Beta will receive a special Omni-Man skin as a bonus – stay tuned for more details!

These arenas include Hometown Invasion (Night), The Moon, Ka-Hor’s Tomb (Day), the Himalayas, the Kinetic Chamber, and the Training Room.

Downloadable Content Characters Revealed: Universa and the Immortal Arrive This Summer

The Invincible VS team also announced the first two downloadable characters coming this summer in 2026. They are Universa, a villain who recently appeared in the popular fourth season of the animated series on Prime Video, and the Immortal, a long-time member of the Guardians of the Globe who is known for sacrificing himself repeatedly. More characters will be added in the months after the initial launch.

The game Invincible VS will be released on April 30th for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC (through Steam and the Microsoft Store). Players can try it out early with an open beta test running from April 9th to 11th on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series.
