A new trailer showcases gameplay from the Halloween-inspired asymmetrical horror game, explaining how players control both Michael Myers and those trying to survive him.
IllFonic, the studio known for multiplayer horror games based on popular franchises, is creating a new game based on Halloween. They’ve previously made similar games featuring Friday the 13th, Ghostbusters, Killer Klowns From Outer Space, and Predator.
The trailer shows you a preview of the upcoming Halloween game, scheduled for release on consoles and PC on September 8, 2026.
Halloween Multiplayer Overview Trailer: Killer Cuts
Okay, so in this Halloween game, you get to choose sides. You can be one of the townspeople trying to survive in Haddonfield, or you can be Michael Myers – yeah, you even wear his mask! It’s pretty cool being either one, honestly.
Players will need to either survive Michael Myers’ attacks and save their neighbors, or play as Myers himself, stalking and eliminating others from the shadows.
The trailer shows that Myers earns points for killing non-player characters, but he gets even bigger rewards if he eliminates the four players controlling the residents.
The trailer closes by saying we’ll soon learn more about how characters develop, including their unique abilities, how you can customize them, and a new chat feature for players nearby.
