I’m so excited the new Super Mario movie is finally here – it really feels like the start of the big summer blockbuster season! And I can’t wait for the Supergirl movie too. We got a little peek at it after the Superman film last year, and even though they finished filming a while ago, they’re still doing test screenings and making some final adjustments. It’s great they’re taking the time to get it just right!

Sources say the movie has gone through a lot of test screenings – at least eight, with three different endings tried so far. The most recent version, shown to audiences in California a week ago, reportedly introduced the main character in a way similar to Supergirl’s brief appearance in a previous film. The movie is also described as a ‘space western’ with a feel similar to the popular ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ trilogy, which is a good sign considering how successful those films were.

Fans are particularly excited about Milly Alcock’s performance as Supergirl, with early reactions being overwhelmingly positive. Jason Momoa is also receiving a lot of praise for his role as Lobo, continuing a recent streak of successful films like “A Minecraft Movie” (which grossed $961 million) and “The Wrecking Crew.” He seems poised for another hit with this new project.

One weak point is the villain, Krem of the Yellow Hills, played by Matthias Schoenaerts, who hasn’t been well-received by audiences. The film’s music has also faced last-minute changes, with several composers working on the score – first Ramin Djawadi, then Junkie XL, and now Claudia Sarne.

Supergirl opens in cinemas on 26th June and we can’t wait!
