Anya Taylor-Joy recalls how she reacted to wrapping of Dune 3
At the premiere of The Super Mario Galaxy Movie, Anya Taylor-Joy was questioned about her involvement in the upcoming Dune: Part Three during a red carpet interview.
The actress told Entertainment Tonight that the job was a dream come true. She was very emotional when filming wrapped, and seeing the trailer brought those feelings back. When asked about her potential role in Dune 3, which appeared to be significant, she didn’t reveal any details, but smiled and nodded.
Florence Pugh, known for her role in Furiosa, has joined the cast of Dune 3. She will play Alia, the daughter of Lady Jessica and sister of Paul Atreides. Fans may recognize her from a quick appearance at the end of Dune: Part Two, where Paul foresaw her future as a member of the Fremen.
The next Dune movie, Dune 3, will be based on the second book in Frank Herbert’s series, Dune Messiah. The film will bring back Timothée Chalamet, Zendaya, Jason Momoa, Florence Pugh, Rebecca Ferguson, Javier Bardem, and Josh Brolin. New to the cast are Anya Taylor-Joy and Robert Pattinson, who will play the character Scytale.
Denis Villeneuve directed and co-wrote the next film in the series, which will conclude a planned three-movie story. It’s currently set to come out on December 18th, the same day as the release of Avengers: Doomsday.
Anya Taylor-Joy is back as Princess Peach for the upcoming Super Mario Galaxy Movie, which is scheduled to hit theaters on April 1, 2026. The film also stars Chris Pratt, Jack Black, Keegan-Michael Key, Glen Powell, Brie Larson, Donald Glover, and Luis Guzmán.
