I was checking out Disney+ this weekend, and like a lot of people, I had two things on my list to watch. First, I wanted to see Zootopia 2 – it’s been the most popular thing on there for weeks and it’s easy to see why! Right behind it at number two was the Hannah Montana 20th Anniversary Special. It was so cool to see the cast and crew talk about the show, and Miley Cyrus’ performances were amazing. Those two were definitely the biggest hits on Disney+ right now.
This weekend also saw the release of a completely original movie, Mike & Nick & Nick & Alice, on both Hulu and Disney+. It’s not a sequel, reboot, or based on any existing story – it’s a fresh idea from writer and director BenDavid Grabinski, and it seems to be exactly what movie fans were hoping for. Plus, the film boasts a fantastic cast, including James Marsden, in his final role before appearing in the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday.
Mike & Nick & Nick & Alice Is a Streaming Hit

Over the weekend, the new movie Mike & Nick & Nick & Alice ranked as the third most popular title on both Hulu and Disney+, according to FlixPatrol. It trailed behind Zootopia 2 and a Hannah Montana Special. FlixPatrol calculates a global score of 419 for the film, which varies by country – it’s #1 in Canada but only #10 in Mexico. Today, Mike & Nick & Nick & Alice has moved up to #2, suggesting positive buzz is building. Like many popular films, it delivers what fans want, but unlike Project Hail Mary, you can enjoy it from the comfort of your home.
The film Mike & Nick & Nick & Alice has more ampersands in its title than any movie since 1969’s Bob & Carol & Ted & Alice. It cleverly blends several genres, offering something for everyone. While fundamentally a comedy, the story also involves gangsters and time travel. Despite this complex mix, the film seamlessly weaves these elements together, resulting in a thoroughly enjoyable experience.
James Marsden plays Mike, a hitman having an affair with Alice (Eiza González). The problem is, Alice is married to Nick (Vince Vaughn), a powerful figure in the mafia who’s also dealing with a possible traitor within his organization. Things get really complicated when a Nick from the future appears, completely changing the story and allowing Vince Vaughn to play two roles – and even act opposite himself! Revealing more would ruin the fun, but the movie also features strong supporting performances from Keith David, Jimmy Tatro, Ben Schwartz, and Stephen Root.
