One Piece Reveals First Look at Robin’s Major Anime Makeover for Elbaph Arc

The anime series One Piece is about to begin a new chapter, and Nico Robin is getting a significant visual update to mark the occasion. New episodes are scheduled to premiere this April as part of the Spring 2026 anime season, and the Straw Hat crew, led by Monkey D. Luffy, will finally be setting sail for the long-awaited island of giants, Elbaph. However, this new era will be particularly impactful for Robin.

Watching the story unfold in One Piece: Elbaph Arc, I was really touched by Robin’s reunion with Saul. It turns out he’s alive and living on Elbaph! They were separated when Ohara was destroyed, and Robin has carried the grief of believing he was gone ever since she was a little girl. It’s also interesting to note that this reunion seems to be inspiring a change in Robin – she’s starting to look more like she did when we first met her. It’s a nice touch, and I’m excited to see how it plays out.

One Piece Elbaph Arc Reveals Nico Robin’s New Anime Makeover

I was at AnimeJapan 2026 this weekend and got a first look at the trailer for the One Piece: Elbaph Arc! It was exciting to see what’s coming in the anime, including some new characters and updated designs for the Straw Hat crew. While the crew always gets a fresh look for each new island, Nico Robin’s makeover felt particularly special and meaningful.

After the Straw Hat crew reunited at the Sabaody Archipelago following the two-year timeskip, Robin kept a noticeably different hairstyle. However, her recent haircut in the Egghead arc, bringing back her bangs, has returned her look to how she appeared earlier in the series. This change seems to symbolize her emotional preparation for reuniting with Saul, and fans are now eagerly awaiting that touching moment in the anime.

When Does One Piece: Elbaph Arc Come Out?

Fans won’t have to wait much longer to see the new One Piece: Elbaph Arc! It premieres in Japan on April 5th and will be available to stream on Crunchyroll in the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, India, and Southeast Asia. Netflix will begin streaming the episodes on April 11th. An English dub release date hasn’t been announced yet.

The Elbaph Arc will feature new music with the opening theme “Luminous” by Aina The End and the ending theme “Sono Mirai” by 36km/h. Yuichi Nakamura will voice Loki, Ryota Takeuchi will voice Road, and Ayane Sakura will voice Gerd, as the first new cast members announced. More cast additions are expected throughout the anime’s run. With a planned 26 episodes, fans have plenty to anticipate from the continuing story of Robin and his friends.
