With spring arriving, Marvel Comics has a fantastic lineup of titles coming out this April. It’s been a busy year for the Marvel Universe, with the Ultimate Universe nearing its end, the setup for the massive Armageddon event underway, and even Godzilla making a terrifying return. Despite all that, Marvel still has plenty of other exciting stories planned for fans this month.
April offers a diverse range of comics for every reader. Comedy fans can enjoy a special Deadpool issue coinciding with April Fool’s Day, while Wonder Man enthusiasts will get a new miniseries exploring Simon Williams’ backstory. DC fans aren’t left out, as Superman teams up with Spider-Man in their second crossover, Marvel/DC: Spider-Man/Superman. Overall, it’s shaping up to be a great month for Marvel fans, and we’ve highlighted 5 titles you won’t want to miss!
5. Deadpool: April Pool’s Day #1

Deadpool stories can be uneven, but this new one seems promising. Gail Simone and C.F. Villa are teaming up for Deadpool: April Pool’s Day #1, and it presents a real challenge for Wade Wilson. He’s discovered a threat to the Marvel Universe, but because it happens on April Fool’s Day, nobody will believe him. It’s a clever concept for a one-off issue, and Simone is the perfect writer to make it funny.
4. Eternals 50th Anniversary #1

The Eternals, Marvel’s long-dormant heroes, are making a comeback to celebrate their 50th anniversary! Marvel is assembling a large team of talented creators to share previously untold stories about these characters, and even introduce a brand new Eternal who’s expected to shake things up in the Marvel Universe. It’s surprising to see Ralph Macchio and Patrick Stump involved, but it definitely makes this project intriguing. And with art by Michael Cho, it’s sure to be visually stunning.
3. Wonder Man #1

Marvel fans are excited about the upcoming Wonder Man show, and that excitement extends to the comics! Simon Williams, a.k.a. Wonder Man, is getting his first solo series in almost 20 years, written by Gerry Dugan and illustrated by Mark Buckingham. This new miniseries delves into Wonder Man’s history, particularly when he reconnects with his former cellmate, Randolph Chancellor. Before Marvel introduces a fresh take on Wonder Man in Ultimate Impact: Reborn, this story is being described as a celebration of Los Angeles and a tribute to a long-deserving Marvel hero.
2. Daredevil #1

Daredevil is back! After a bit of a hiatus, Marvel is launching a new run of the character with Daredevil #1, kicking off an ongoing series by Stephanie Phillips and Lee Garbett. Matt Murdock is now teaching law, but his peaceful life is disrupted by a new villain called Omen. As a huge Daredevil fan, I’m really looking forward to seeing what happens next – expect plenty of action and brooding, as usual!
1. Marvel/DC: Spider-Man/Superman #1

Good news for comic fans! Superman and Spider-Man will team up again in April for another adventure, following their recent collaboration. The story boasts an impressive creative team, including writers Dan Slott, Geoff Johns, Jason Aaron, Brian Michael Bendis, and artists Gary Frank, Todd Nauck, and Sara Pichelli. It’s hard to say whether the main story or the supplemental ones will be more exciting, but everything looks promising. Hopefully, this crossover will lead to even more team-ups between Marvel and DC characters down the road.
