Project Cloud Games, a small independent studio, is creating a new game called The Relic: First Guardian. It aims to combine the popular gameplay styles of Elden Ring and The Witcher series, offering players an exciting experience.
I’m really getting lost in the world of The Relic: First Guardian. It’s a lot like Elden Ring – the story isn’t just told to you, you uncover it by exploring this huge, broken world. And it reminds me of The Witcher too, because I’m playing as the last person who can actually save everything. Seriously, the visuals are amazing and it’s a massive fantasy RPG – I can’t put it down!
Elden Ring, The Witcher Collide In The Relic: First Guardian
Defeat Bosses, Save The World
In The Relic: First Guardian, you take on the role of a guardian tasked with healing a shattered world. You’ll face over 70 challenging bosses. Each boss you defeat unlocks a new Relic, which alters how you play the game. Experiment with different Relic combinations to develop a truly personalized fighting style.
I’m really getting a vibe of smooth, deliberate combat in this game, kinda like Elden Ring and those other Soulslike titles. But what’s really cool is that when you beat a boss, you don’t just get loot – you uncover a sad story about the boss itself and the whole world. It reminds me a lot of The Witcher in that way – it’s not just about fighting, it’s about why you’re fighting.
The Relic: First Guardian introduces a unique approach to combat. Unlike most games, attacking doesn’t use stamina – only blocking and dodging do. Special abilities are recharged over time, rather than costing mana or other resources. Overall, the game seems designed to reward players for exploring and trying out different strategies.

Prepare For An Epic New Adventure
You can soon buy The Relic: First Guardian on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2. It’s available to add to your wishlist now on all platforms, and you can even pre-order the PS5 version from Play-Asia for $43.99. Early previews are looking good, suggesting the game lives up to expectations. However, many players are holding off until full reviews are released before deciding whether to jump into this challenging new Soulslike game.
You can also pre-order a Special Edition of The Relic: First Guardian for $93.99, which is a bit rare for a game made by a small development team. This edition comes with a steelbook case, a collector’s coin and box, a hardcover art book with extra story details, a world map, and a unique armor or weapon for use in the game.
The highly anticipated game, The Relic: First Guardian, will be released on May 26, 2026. If you enjoy games like Elden Ring and The Witcher, this beautiful indie title is definitely one to watch.
